The Office for Academic Personnel and Faculty (APF) is a coalition of strategic partners focused on serving the University of Washington&rsquo;s current and prospective faculty, librarians, residents, fellows, postdoctoral scholars, and academic staff. Reporting to the Associate Vice Provost for Academic Personnel and Faculty Development, the Program Operations Specialist will support the APF Development pillar by providing leadership and management for operations, communications, design and implementation of expanded leadership and development programming. The specialist will be instrumental in further scale up of APF development programs, broad implementation, evaluation, and communications. This position is responsibility for day-to-day program logistics and long-term operations planning.
The person in this position serves in a variety of administrative roles and must demonstrate effective communication, administrative judgment, and innovative ability. They must be able to work independently and as a member of the Development Support Services (DSS) Team. APF development programs will have an eye towards improving faculty well-being, and as such, deep knowledge of programs and interventions geared towards cohort building, fostering inclusive organizational climates, communications and leadership skill building will be instrumental. In addition, some research and policy background will also be necessary to develop a robust evaluation program, analyzing the data, and communicating findings that take a continuous quality improvement approach. The position also leads administrative and operational activities, establishes and maintains project timelines, and maintains communications and information sharing with other parts of APF and academic leaders in the UW tri-campus system.
This position will provide critical support to APF to launch their new service-orientated programming, which emerged out of the restructure of the Office of Academic Personnel (OAP into the Office of Academic Personnel &amp; Faculty (APF). In alignment with the wider goals for APF, this position will help envision and map out leadership program activities. This position supports the efforts of all faculty, academic personnel, and academic leaders across the arc of their careers and across the three campuses of the UW.
Duties &amp; Responsibilities
Faculty Development Programming Design and Oversight
<ul><li>Works with Associate Vice Provost for Faculty Development, the DSS team, APF, and other stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement new programs and activities that align with faculty development goals across all three UW campuses.
</li></ul><ul><li>Performs applicable background research for assigned projects, including interviews with academic leaders, summarizing data from interviews and other qualitative data sources, basic quantitative analysis of faculty data, and developing data visualization and reports on these data.
</li></ul><ul><li>Facilitates and assures outreach, research, and coordination of programs, including liaising with stakeholders and partners, authoring and/or assembling content and materials.
</li></ul>Operations Management
<ul><li>Assist in developing, maintaining, and implementing policies, strategic plans, educational programs, and resources for the Academic Personnel and Faculty Development pillar and the Development Support Services group.
</li></ul><ul><li>Regularly assist in the compilation and analyses of faculty data (faculty track, years of service) from UW, national sources
</li></ul><ul><li>Coordinate with APF director of communications to update and maintain the APF Development website
</li></ul><ul><li>Develop strategic public relations materials in coordination with the APF communications team.
</li></ul><ul><li>Manage and maintain programmatic listservs, other program-related databases, and spreadsheets.
</li></ul><ul><li>Establish and maintain collaborative and cooperative relationships within APF and with units interacting with APF Development pillar and Development Support Services, such as the Executive office, Deans offices, departments, UW HR, etc.
</li></ul><ul><li>Lead and manage operations for all APF professional and leadership development activities (e.g. postdoctoral development workshops and website content, assistant professor promotion workshops).
</li></ul>Delivery of Key Programs/Events Management
<ul><li>Drives implementation of new programming and current programming.
</li></ul><ul><li>Analyzes faculty data (track, years of service, years in rank) and develops relevant data visualizations, web content, invitations for APF programs; linking with relevant audiences for each event.
</li></ul><ul><li>Monitors progress and completion of key tasks to ensure assigned projects are on track to meet the intended goals and objectives.
</li></ul><ul><li>Exercises independent decision-making as many of the projects will be unique in nature.
</li></ul><ul><li>Set planning timelines including identifying tasks, deadlines, key activities and personnel and ensure deadlines are met.
</li></ul><ul><li>Create, distribute, and manage event communications.
</li></ul><ul><li>Lead event logistics, including calendaring, room scheduling and set up, speaker coordination, event materials, event related meetings, communications, tracking RSVPs and participation, equipment, catering, evaluation surveys, and additional duties assigned by the AVP.
</li></ul><ul><li>Develop programmatic calendar and coordinate with APF, Provost Office, and other UW units&rsquo; faculty-related event calendars.
</li></ul><ul><li>Manage vendor contracts and ensure proper execution of contracts and payment.
</li></ul>Program Assessment and Evaluation
<ul><li>Regularly performs needs assessments and impact evaluations for continuous quality improvement of programs.
</li></ul><ul><li>Develops and Maintains surveys and databases for program development, implementation, and evaluation
</li></ul><ul><li>Collaboratively establishes learning objectives and goals for programs and workshops
</li></ul><ul><li>Creates and analyzes metrics to measure program effectiveness, recommending process improvement opportunities as needed.
</li></ul>Miscellaneous
<ul><li>Supervise graduate and/or undergraduate student assistants as needed.
</li></ul><ul><li>Performs additional duties as assigned that fall within the reasonable scope of this position.
</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications
<ul><li>Graduate Level Education (Master&rsquo;s degree) in a research related field (e.g. developing questions, collecting and managing qualitative and quantitative data, such as post-workshop surveys, interviewing academic leaders for needs and impact evaluation, basic data management and manipulation of types of faculty audiences for APF activities)
</li><li>One year of professional work experience, to include:
</li></ul>1) Work experience in written communications (e.g. needs assessment/report and presentation preparation, website content development, critical thinking skills needed to assign prompt and provide a written response for public invitation and comment) and program operations (incorporating continuous quality feedback on our programs).

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences within the UW School of Medicine is the third largest clinical department within the School of Medicine with 330 full-time faculty members, 460 courtesy faculty members, and over 350 staff. Department faculty provide clinical services in 5 hospitals, 14 primary care locations, and several outpatient sites in addition to telepsychiatry consultations to more than 150 clinics in Washington and beyond. As the only academic psychiatry department serving the five state WWAMI region (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho), the Department&rsquo;s highly competitive residency training program is largely responsible for developing the mental health workforce in the Pacific Northwest. The Department&rsquo;s robust research portfolio totals $67 million in grants and contracts per year for projects ranging from clinical neurosciences to treatment development to health policy and population health. Seven Directions at the University of Washington is the first national public health institute in the United States to focus solely on improving Indigenous health and wellness. We are committed to cultivating and sharing knowledge, connecting communities and resources, and working to achieve shared goals for future generations. With funding from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) National Center for Injury Prevention and Control for &ldquo;Building Capacity for Tribal Overdose Prevention Program,&rdquo; Seven Directions is partnering with &ldquo;Safe States&rdquo; and the National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI) to increase the capacity for overdose and injury prevention within tribes and tribal-serving organizations by building the Indigenous workforce and providing a forum for tribes to network and share Indigenous practices for prevention. Seven Directions will specifically focus on the Indigenous Workforce Development for Overdose Prevention activities under this project to support American Indian and Alaska Native participants in addressing tribal health issues while fostering leadership and capacity-building among Indigenous populations.
The Program Operations Specialist (Payroll Title: Pro Staff Temp Position (E S)) is a key member of the Seven Directions team under the general direction of the Project Lead and works alongside senior team members in implementing a variety of project and research activities, such as: evaluating the internship and placement programs; managing implementation of the internship/placement program for students and recent graduates to serve within tribal health departments or tribal serving organizations working on overdose and/or Indigenous evaluation initiatives; and coordinating delivering professional development and training opportunities for students and recent graduates.
The ideal candidate will be a highly organized project manager on any given team; with a special emphasis on leading evaluation development and implementation; developing dynamic workshops and trainings; facilitating discussions among interns, mentors, sites, and funding partners; and providing technical assistance to community partners. In addition, the ideal candidate will bring experience working with AI/AN communities as well as an understanding of and humility toward AI/AN historical, contemporary, and cultural contexts.
Seven Directions works with a wide range of tribes and Indigenous-serving organizations representing a wide range of social and cultural environments (e.g., urban vs. rural, Northwest vs. Plains vs. Southwest) that require cultural humility, understanding, and flexibility. The frequent telephone/video and e-mail contacts as well as occasional in-person contact with American Indian/Alaska Native communities require extraordinary tact and cultural sensitivity. This also applies to regular communication with funders, as well as other tribal and institutional partners.
Responsibilities
Research and Project Implementation (30%)
<ul><li>Lead design of a comprehensive evaluation for the internship/placement program, in collaboration with the project lead, using an Indigenous evaluation, as appropriate.
</li><li>Engage key stakeholders and partners from NNPHI, Safe States, NCIPC, and both students and post-graduate interns in evaluation planning and integration of their guidance/feedback.
</li><li>Collect knowledge and feedback about internship activities, professional development activities, and participants&rsquo; experiences through a mix of Indigenous data collection methods.
</li><li>Develop an evaluation plan to include evaluation questions, approach, success indicators/measures, activities calendar, and analysis plan.
</li><li>Lead implementation of plan including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
</li><li>Review and update processes, strategies, and materials for every component of the program: internship/placement, training and professional development.
</li><li>Disseminate invitation to host sites to host interns/placements and implement through Seven Direction contacts/networks.

Position Overview:

Greater Good Charities seeks a Grant and Reports Specialist to work with the Growth team on foundation and corporate funding opportunities, grant writing and reporting, and the stewardship and management of funder relationships. 
The Grants and Reports Specialist is a member of the Growth department and serves as a liaison between the organization and funding partners (Foundations and Corporate). The Grants and Reports Specialist is responsible for researching, preparing, submitting, and managing grant proposals/reports that support the organization&rsquo;s goals and meet funding guidelines and criteria. This individual will serve as the primary grant writer, point of contact in stewarding the relationship, engages in compliance reporting, and supports special project initiatives. This position requires strong writing, data analysis, program budgeting, project management skills, with an emphasis on clear writing and outcome measurements. 


Key Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Lead grant proposal development and submission which includes:

<li>Manage the grant lifecycle from submission to reporting:

Minimum Education/Experience:

ACADEMIC STUDENT SUCCESS COACH SUMMARY: The position of Academic and Student Success Coach will support students in excelling both academically and socially. This person works as a liaison between the classroom teacher and the student keeping students on track, checking on progress and solving student challenges. They work collaboratively with school and district staff, students and their families to implement and manage intervention strategies promoting student academic and/or social/emotional skills. The Academic and Student Success Coach will at times interact one-on-one or in small groups to understand and support students.
