In this role you will influence all aspects of fire protection design, construction, operations, and maintenance for our global fleet of data centers. This includes fire suppression, fire detection, fire alarm, and mass notification systems, as well as fire-resistant construction and life safety. You will work with internal and external teams to define, design, detail, and document the various fire protection features that our facilities require, using both prescriptive and performance-based design approaches. As an Owner, you will strive to ensure the fire protection features of our buildings protect our people and keep our customer&rsquo;s data safe and uninterrupted over the life of the building. We expect you to contribute your expertise to the continual improvement of our fire protection design standards. 
 
Primary responsibilities will be to perform and oversee project-related work, such as water supply analysis and design for fire water service to buildings, including coordination with utilities and fire officials to establish basic site infrastructure requirements. The ability to coordinate fire protection system space requirements, supporting utilities, and equipment locations, and to provide detailed construction specifications for all fire protection-related trades will be expected. You will typically be responsible for the preparation of prescriptive designs for building fire suppression, alarm, and detection systems. In some cases, you will be expected to prepare or approve performance-based design elements as needed to support our goals. You will review all design disciplines to ensure they meet the minimum fire protection requirements described in our design standards. In some cases, you will oversee and review this work and in other cases you will perform the work yourself.
 
 
As the team&rsquo;s subject matter expert, you will ensure that contractors have the information they need to build our data centers the way we expect them to, and that our operations teams are well equipped to operate and maintain them as needed to meet our goals. What You'll Do:
<ul><li>Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.</li>
<li>Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and activity according to post guidelines.</li>
<li>Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.</li>
<li>Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor activity, and/or deliveries while following site protocols for restricted or sensitive areas.</li>
<li>Support security-related response efforts involving disturbances, trespassing, and/or emergency conditions while maintaining professional presence and clear communication with local contacts and supervisors.</li></ul>
Minimum Requirements:
<ul><li>A concealed carry weapons permit is required.</li>
<li>A minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience is required.</li>
<li>A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.</li>
<li>CPR certification is preferred.</li>
<li>An armed guard card or license is preferred.</li>
<li>Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.</li>
<li>Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.</li>
<li>Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.</li>
<li>As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.</li>
<li>Participate in industry-specific security training programs.</li>
<li>Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.</li>
<li>A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.</li></ul>
