Responsible for day-to-day maintenance and repairs of the Denton Enterprise Airport including the safe and effective operation of equipment.</div>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">Essential Functions and Other Important Duties</h2></div>
<div>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

DUTIES 
<ul><li>
Operate light-to-medium motorized equipment as well as common and precision power and hand tools to perform skilled duties to complete site maintenance; operate of ground-to-tower radio communication equipment.</li><li>
Maintain, replace, and care for airport grounds and public service areas including, but not limited to, mending fences, completing installations, troubleshooting electrical equipment and gates, landscaping, and removing litter, debris, and objects.</li><li>
Inspect and check equipment before and after use, conduct repair, as appropriate and report issues and/or problems to leadership immediately.</li><li>
Conduct daily airport safety inspections on equipment and systems including, but not limited to, pavement, navigational aids, airport lighting, and precision approach path indicator (PAPI); complete and/or schedule repair(s) and/or replacement(s), as appropriate and report issues to leadership immediately.</li><li>
Respond to after-hour maintenance and emergency service calls.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with all City policies and procedures, standards of quality and safety, and all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, rules, regulations, laws, and policies.</li><li>
Assist with the Wildlife Hazard Management Program including, but not limited to, recordkeeping on all wildlife strikes and control actions; maintain and forward report to Federal Aviation Association (FAA) as appropriate and upload strike data to the FAA Strike database.</li><li>
Assist with monitoring and reporting of the Airport Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan.</li><li>
Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and assist and respond to customer issues; notify leadership immediately if not able to resolve concerns.</li><li>
Perform minor maintenance duties and conduct research for simple-to-moderate complex assignments; may direct a specialized function or activity, as required.</li><li>
Maintain detailed daily operations log/shift summary of inspections, incident reports, and other reports, as needed.</li></ul>

Must have and maintain a valid Class &ldquo;C&rdquo; Driver&rsquo;s License and valid state required minimum automobile liability insurance prior to employment (must obtain Texas Class &ldquo;C&rdquo; driver&rsquo;s license and state required minimum automobile liability insurance within 90 days of hire per state law).</li><li>
Must pass a drug test, driver&rsquo;s license check, criminal history background check, employment history verification, and social security number verification.</li><li>
Must pass a physical examination.</li><li>
