Videographer for Scientific Video ProductionThis post is only for applicants from Boston, MA, USA.Videographers sought to film laboratory techniques and scientific experiments at research institutions in Boston and surrounding areas. This is a great opportunity to add unique footage of cutting-edge science to your reel as well as become familiar with recording microscopic images. It is also a unique chance for an individual to develop a long-term business relationship with a company in the biotechnology and digital media industry.The applicant will need to be available on an on-demand, semi-consistent basis. Each shoot will only require one camera operator. We do not require a crew. Our shoots are one day long, usually between 6 - 7 hours. The camera operator would only be responsible for filming and footage upload. No editing is required.The camera operator must possess or have access to a professional HD camera, a wireless Lavalier microphone or directional microphone, and a 3-way fluid or gearhead tripod. Lighting kits and macro lenses are optional.We will ONLY accept applicants who live within/close to Boston and can travel within 200 miles of the area. <div>As a Videographer, a typical day might include the following:
<ul><li>
Video production and post-production</li><li>
Assisting with setup and teardown on shoot days including lighting, audio, teleprompter, etc.</li><li>
Capturing high quality b-roll and event footage as needed</li><li>
Sorting through raw footage and compiling the compelling clips to produce a rough cut</li><li>
Accruing and organizing video assets: recordings, screen captures, animations, audio files</li><li>
Laying out and editing video content with a consistent look and feel that is on-brand and fits within our guidelines</li><li>
Working with content team in a review process to organize and make edits as needed</li><li>
Contributing creative ideas while striving to push content creation to the next level</li><li>
Researching and sourcing growing viral trends and content</li><li>
Publishing/YouTube channel management</li><li>
Optimizing YouTube descriptions, metadata and transcriptions for better search visibility</li><li>
Producing channel specific/short-form versions of content for use on a variety of social channels</li><li>
Other projects and duties as assigned</li></ul> 


This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:

Proficient knowledge in video technology, equipment and filming</li><li>
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite required</li><li>
Strong After Effects, Photoshop, Motion skills are a plus</li><li>
Flexible schedule, working remotely, adapt to changes in deadlines and project scope</li><li>
Photography and video shooting experience a plus</li><li>
Must have your own camera equipment</li><li>
Knowledgeable in various camera systems</li><li>
Interest in the restaurant, nightlife, music and/or sports and trading card industries</li><li>
Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated communicator who follows direction and functions well in a dynamic team environment</li><li>
Must be creative, organized, and eager to learn</li><li>
Ability to handle multiple projects at once and help meet tight deadlines</li><li>
Familiarity with different design formats for all digital platforms Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube</li><li>
Prior experience and understanding of working within brand guidelines and style guides</li><li>
Motion graphics experience is a plus</li><li>
Must be able to submit portfolio, demo reel or video samples, as well as your social media handles for further consideration</li></ul>
