About the role
Job Overview
The Electrician Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across commercial, residential, and industrial properties. The role also includes the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations while ensuring compliance with EWA regulations, electrical safety standards, and company procedures.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical assets.
- Install and maintain electrical wiring, distribution boards, circuit breakers, lighting systems, sockets, switches, and power outlets.
- Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure electrical systems operate safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with Bahrain EWA regulations and electrical safety standards.
- Install, commission, test, and maintain Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare electrical infrastructure for EV charger installations.
- Install electrical cabling, protective devices, isolators, and distribution systems required for EV chargers.
- Troubleshoot EV charging equipment and resolve electrical faults.
- Perform preventive maintenance and periodic inspections of EV charging stations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and clients during installation projects.
- Prepare installation reports, commissioning documents, and maintenance records.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies.
- Prepare maintenance reports and service documentation.
- Support facility improvement projects and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Management.
Qualifications
- Valid EWA Electrical Technician License (Mandatory).
- Diploma, ITI, or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
- Previous experience in commercial buildings or facilities management is preferred.
- Experience in EV charger installation is an added advantage.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
