Job Summary:

An Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day sales of industrial product which includes diesel and gas engine generators, transfer switches, and switch gear. This role is also responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with a contractor and end user customer base and the specifying engineering community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily including the following.
<ul>
<li>Work with inside sales support to read and interpret specifications for potential generator sales.</li>
<li>Pull specifications from plan (on-line or hand delivered).</li>
<li>Read and interpret specification.</li>
<li>Enter bill of material into Kohler-net (on-line pricing system) and print quote.</li>
<li>Contact potential customers for project bid lists.</li>
<li>Distribute quotation as required to customers.</li>
<li>Help customers and employees with product specifications, model numbers, and pricing about company products.</li>
<li>Coordinate submittals from Kohler to customers with help from inside sales support position.</li>
<li>Prepare weekly call reports and keep company database updated with new business contact, quotes, and sales.</li>
<li>Work closely with the inside estimator/project manager to Ensure customers are handled in the proper manner.</li>
<li>Ensure project profitability and communicate with both the inside sales support position and the Service Department.</li>
<li>Employee will be responsible for a sales territory established by the Industrial Sales Manager.</li>
<li>Bilingual in Spanish beneficial.</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.</li>
<li>Other duties as required.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications/Experience/Education/Skills:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from accredited college, or technical school, or 3+ years Industrial Sales Experience (Oil Field/Oil and Gas) experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
</li><li>3+ years proven sales experience.</li>
<li>Generator knowledge and understanding of electrical and mechanical equipment strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office 360 and other Microsoft products/systems. Strong technical aptitude, including ability to learn new systems quickly and train/support team in adoption.</li>
<li>Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation, which includes a motor vehicle check, and drug screen.</li>
</ul>
