Join the podcast team at ABC News as a Podcast Production Intern! This role is an exciting opportunity to work with a small but dynamic team that produces and publishes podcasts in the genres of news and true crime. You will gain hands-on experience with popular shows like <b>&quot;Start Here,&quot;</b> <b>&quot;The View: Behind the Table,&quot;</b> and true crime programming under the<b> 20/20</b> brand. This internship offers a comprehensive understanding of podcast production, from story selection to seeing the finished product rise in the charts.</p><p><b><br>
This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the New York, New York area from June 2026-January 2027.</b></p><p></p><p><b>
What You Will Do:</b></p><p>
As a Podcast Production Intern, you will be involved in both creative and operational tasks. You will assist producers with recording studio sessions, research competitor programming for marketing purposes, and aggregate analytics data on podcast performance.</p><p></p><p>
On any given day you might:</p><ul><li><p>
Sit in on a studio recording, assisting with setup and breakdown</p></li><li><p>
Join a collaborative brainstorm for an upcoming launch&rsquo;s title and artwork design, sharing your ideas, based on competitive research, on how best to make the story pop</p></li><li><p>
Identify exciting clips from new releases to make our content stand out on social media</p></li><li><p>
Research a prospective podcast sponsor, preview a script for a podcast ad, or quality-check an ad recording before it goes live</p></li><li><p>
Participate in an editorial meeting for our daily news podcast, a true crime narrative, or chat show</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>
Required Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>
A demonstrated interest in news</p></li><li><p>
Familiarity with and interest in the true crime genre</p></li><li><p>
Experience using audio editing software such as Adobe Audition, ProTools, or Audacity</p></li><li><p>
Keen interest in a career in podcasts, either in production or business</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>
Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>
Previous experience in journalism, television, news media production, or script writing</p></li><li><p>
Avid consumer/creator of podcasts</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>
Eligibility Requirements &amp; Program Information</b></p><p>
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:</p><ul><li><p>
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.</p></li><li><p>
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.</p></li><li><p>
Be at least 18 years of age</p></li><li><p>
Possess unrestricted work authorization</p></li></ul><p></p><p>

Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship</p></li><li><p>
Fully available from June 2026 through January 2027</p></li><li><p>
Fully available from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week</p></li><li><p>
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York area</p></li><li><p>
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>
