This position supports and directly influences the launch and expansion of Amazon Leo and drives strategic initiatives that help grow and scale these businesses. This leader will champion controllership and scalability as they partner closely with global stakeholders including business product managers, financial engineering teams, accounting operations, business finance, tax, treasury, and others to deliver world class financial solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible. This person will have operated successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment. Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to influence leaders are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope business requirements and prioritize.<br>

Successful candidates will have deep experience in the following disciplines &ndash; Accounting, Program Management, Financial System testing, and Financial Systems implementation. The role requires an individual with finance and accounting knowledge, experience working with technology teams to design and build world class financial systems integration solutions and the capacity to accelerate the launch and management of an ongoing financial integration program. They need the ability to influence senior leaders and the willingness to drive the implementation of decisions across a global scope, balancing time to market with investments in automation.<br>

Your day typically begins with reviewing overnight testing metrics and identifying any critical issues requiring immediate attention.

Throughout the day, you'll work through a backlog of testing results, work with testers and technical teams to validate results against requirements, and provide guidance on system and process issues.

About the Position
<br>The Financial Analyst supports the Finance & Accounting team by assisting with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to help the organization make informed financial decisions. Working under the supervision of the Finance & Accounting Manager, the role collaborates with departments across the organization to monitor financial performance, prepare departmental and program reports, and ensure the accuracy of financial data. The Financial Analyst works closely with the Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Procurement teams to support financial operations and maintain effective financial processes.

<li>Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for management review.</li>
<li>Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including financial statements and management reports.</li>
<li>Prepare and analyze departmental and program financial reports, identifying variances, trends, and areas for improvement to support leadership decision-making.</li>
<li>Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting, working with departments and program managers to ensure accurate financial planning.</li>
<li>Support the Mission Advancement team by ensuring financial compliance with grant requirements and preparing financial statements on programs.</li>
<li>Perform cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of current programs and operational expenditures.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain financial models and analytical tools to support financial planning, program evaluation, and organizational decision-making.</li>
<li>Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement in D365 system, including financial reporting, data integrity, and operational efficiency.</li>
<li>Maintain and review general ledger (GL) accounts, ensuring accurate coding, reconciliations, and integrity of financial data.</li>
<li>Monitor and track work-in-progress (WIP) projects and capital expenditures, coordinating with the Procurement team to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.</li>
<li>Work closely with the Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Procurement teams to support financial operations, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate financial records</li>
<li>Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis requested by the Manager and Director.</li>
<li>Promote and uphold safe work practices through awareness, training, and reporting of potential hazards.</li>
