The Department of Radiation Oncology has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time Teaching Associate- Advanced Practice Provider (ARNP or PA-C). The successful candidate&rsquo;s primary site of practice will be UWMC-Montlake, but may be asked to shift work to other UW/FHCC Radiation Oncology sites of practice if the clinical need arises.
The selected candidate will be proposed for appointment to the full-time faculty as a Teaching Associate at the University of Washington with an anticipated start date of July 2026 or earlier. Teaching Associates hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
The Radiation Oncology APP is a certified advanced practice provider whose integrated role encompasses both clinical care and education. The ARNP/PA-C functions collaboratively with attending physicians and as a key member of the interdisciplinary oncology team. The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced clinical judgment, a high degree of professional autonomy, and the ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team to deliver exemplary, evidence-based oncology care.
The base salary range for this position will be: $10,530 - $15,698 per month ($126,360 &ndash; $188,376 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. 
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Provide comprehensive radiation oncology subspecialty care as part of an interdisciplinary team, managing all aspects of care from intake and consult, to on therapy and into surveillance and survivorship.
</li><li>Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and ongoing evaluations. Order, interpret and manage laboratory and radiographic studies. Prescribe medications and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated.
</li><li>Manage acute medical issues that arise during radiation treatment and provide acute symptom guidance for patients on therapy as well as guidance into survivorship for late effects of radiation.
</li><li>Collaborate with subspecialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care. Facilitate referrals to community agencies and supportive care resources.
</li><li>Document all clinical encounters and treatment decisions in accordance with University of Washington Physicians (UWP) standards and compliance requirements for billing.
</li></ul>Qualifications
<ul><li>Current valid Washington State license as Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Associate (PA-C).
</li><li>If ARNP, current Washington State license to practice as a registered nurse.
</li><li>Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.

The University of Washington Department of Otolaryngology&ndash;Head and Neck Surgery is seeking one full-time ARNP or PA at the rank of Teaching Associate. The Advanced Practice Provider (ARNP or PA) deployed at UWMC Mountlake and Fred Hutch Cancer Center (FHCC), is a member of a tertiary care Otolaryngology-HNS team that includes 14 attending physicians, 25 residents, 7 APPS, as well as audiologists, speech language pathologists and over 50 support staff.
The candidate will be an integral member of our Head &amp; Neck Surgery and Oncology team. Clinically, the applicant will be responsible for providing services independently and collaboratively in the outpatient environment including initial and ongoing assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patient&rsquo;s medical status. This is a Teaching Associate position in the Department of Otolaryngology Head &amp; Neck Surgery. Teaching Associates hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. This APP team member will be deployed full-time within the Division of Rhinology.
The Rhinology team includes four fellowship trained faculty surgeons and a dedicated clinical support staff (RN, coordinator, and medical assistant). Our team is a distinguished group of fellowship trained surgeons that practice the full spectrum of patient care related to conditions of the nose, sinuses and skull base. The APP will be fully integrated into a supportive care team model that strives for excellence within a rich and immersive clinical care environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing services independently and collaboratively with appropriate privileges, including initial and ongoing assessment, as well as diagnosis and treatment of the patient&rsquo;s medical condition.
Position Details:
Full-time (1.0 CFTE), Outpatient Ambulatory APP, Day Shift, 40 hrs/week.
This APP will hold a Teaching Associate faculty position in the Department of Otolaryngology Head &amp; Neck Surgery (ENT). This faculty position has an annual service period of 12-months (July 1 - June 30). The anticipated start date is March 1, 2026. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Standards of Practice and Performance
1. Collaborate with an inter-professional team including surgeons, residents and fellows, nurses, medical assistants, and coordinators across a variety of medical and surgical sub-specialties to provide high quality patient- and family-centered care at the #1 Health Institution in the State of Washington (UW Medicine) and within a Nationally Ranked ENT Department.
2. Independently and collaboratively provide comprehensive care for patients with conditions that affect the nose, sinuses, and skull base. The APP will have a mix of independent and shared clinical deployment.
3. Deliver timely and problem-focused initial assessment of the patient&rsquo;s medical condition. Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic imaging in a timely manner. Provide management and follow-up care for patients with disorders of the nose, sinuses, and skull base. Candidates can expect direct mentorship with three fellowship trained sinus and skull base surgeons.
4. Participate as an integral member of the sinus and endoscopic skull base surgery team through the development of collaborative and innovative practices, and evaluation of patient care outcomes.
5. Communicate in a professional and respectful manner with all members of the health care team whether through verbal, email or secure text communication.
6. Participate in improvement projects focused on quality and operations. Participate in and support the rhinology division&rsquo;s education, research and quality initiatives.
7. Provide patient and/or family with health education, counseling and referrals to other health professionals and community resources as appropriate.
8. Attend and participate in the monthly rhinology faculty meetings.
9. Follow the UW Medical Center &ndash; Montlake&rsquo;s professional behavior policy and procedures.
Service APP Duties
1. Patient/family/provider communication about disease and treatment and how it relates to patient values, priorities, and goals of care across the care spectrum.
2. Provide ambulatory clinical care within the Rhinology clinic Monday-Friday. Evaluate patients within template clinic time and as needed.
3. Contribute to the plan of care and communicate directly with patients, families and the care team.
4. Promote a collaborative approach to decision making with appropriate interdisciplinary consultation.

When the clinic is closed, you'll reach an after-hours consulting nurse service.

Medical Courier Coordinator, Lab Medicine &amp; Pathology
Who we&rsquo;re looking for:
The UW Medicine - Department of Laboratory Medicine &amp; Pathology (DLMP) in Seattle, WA has a fantastic opportunity for a Medical Courier Coordinator at the University of Washington Medical Center &ndash; Montlake, &amp; Central Lab &ndash; Renton
The primary function of the Medical Courier Coordinator is to receive and facilitate requests between clients and the courier team, provide administrative support for the team, and communicate program updates to the courier, CSS, and other impacted teams. The administrative function for this role will be focused on office‑related activities. The role will allow courier leadership to focus on core programs, projects, and strategy‑related activities that support courier operations, providing a positive impact on UWMC patients and the division&rsquo;s internal and external clients. Additionally, this position supports the bandwidth of the Medical Courier Leads through daily support, ongoing training, opportunities for route and transportation improvement, and backup driving. This position will have autonomy and independent decision‑making for the tasks assigned to them.

Communications and Dispatching

</li><li>Monitor for courier-call outs and schedule changes.

<ul><li>Monitor all courier Kronos clock-ins and ensure staff are starting shifts on time; produce regular clock-in reports for the supervisor(s).

</li><li>Develop new office or administrative procedures using research and analytical techniques; ensure team is following office procedures.
</li><li>Supports the continued use and operation of office equipment (copier, computers, printer, and fax machine).
</li><li>Procure and monitor courier vehicle parts and supplies (light bulbs, windshield wipers, wiper fluid, cleaning supplies).
</li><li>Schedule team meetings.
</li><li>Assist in writing and editing statements of administrative guidelines and policy.
</li><li>Participate in courier recruiting efforts (resume reviews, phone screens, interviews).
</li><li>May be called upon to drive UW vehicles and provide back-up courier services as needed.

<ul><li>High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty.
