Job Title: Dental AssistantLocation: Midtown East Manhattan (Zip code 10017), 3 min walk from Grand Central StationPosition Overview: We are looking to add a friendly and motivated dental assistant to our staff that can help us provide the highest care in a comfortable, calm and inclusive manner.You will have the opportunity to enhance your skills working with highly trained professionals and having premiere dental equipment and materials.Position responsibilities (may not reflect full list)&middot; Knowledge of dental software (Dentrix).&middot; Take digital radiographs including vertical and horizontal bitewings, periapicals, full-mouth series, as well as panoramic, CBCT, photographs as needed.&middot; Proficient in digital scanning.&middot; Take vitals: blood pressure, pulse&middot; Prepare trays with instruments and supplies specific to each procedure of the day.&middot; Prepare the patient for the appropriate procedures (example: seating, applying topical anesthetic, taking templates for temporary restorations, preliminary impressions, etc.)&middot; Assist the doctor during restorative and surgical procedures.&middot; Sterilization of instruments. Keep supplies stocked in rooms.&middot; Organize back office, keep lab clean.&middot; Put away instruments in rooms and disinfect operatories between procedures.&middot; Minimal training in any area will be provided if needed.
