The NP/PA will work collaboratively with a vibrant multidisciplinary team of Infectious Diseases and HIV physicians (attendings and fellows) and clinical pharmacists to ensure seamless communication across consult services, Infection Prevention and Control, and the Antibiotic Stewardship Program.

The NP/PA will function both independently and under the supervision of Division faculty, who will provide extensive onboarding, training, and teaching. As a core member of a growing service, the NP/PA will have opportunities for teaching, research collaboration, academic advancement, and leadership development based on individual interests.

The incumbent will be responsible for the comprehensive management of care for an assigned patient population in accordance with mutually agreed-upon protocols and the policies and procedures of the Division of Infectious Diseases and the Department of Medicine at CUIMC.

Responsibilities

<li>Obtain and document interval and/or comprehensive patient histories as appropriate to the chief complaint or reason for visit.</li>
<li>Perform focused and comprehensive physical examinations, documenting pertinent positive and negative findings.</li>
<li>Formulate diagnostic impressions and differential diagnoses based on subjective and objective findings.</li>

<li>Provide analysis of data trends and outcomes, and assist with interpretation of data and preparation of reports.</li>
<li>Responsible for training additional staff members to assist with data entry and QC practices</li>
<li>Other responsibilites may include day-today aspects of study protocol including supporting recruitment, screening and follow-up with study participants and specimen collection</li>
<li>Other responsibilities may include providing regulatory backup for clinical research protocols, including preparation of regulatory quality assurance protocols and communication with IRBs.</li>
<li>Perform additional responsibilities as needed</li>

Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related experience in health related, biological, social science, or informatics field.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Experience in infectious disease clinical care and/or research.</li>
<li>Prior training or experience in phlebotomy.</li>
<li>Experience working with diverse and marginalized populations.</li>
<li>Spanish language</li>
<li>Knowledge of a variety of computer and software applications [Microsoft office, REDCap, electronic data entry systems i.e. Medidata].</li>
<li>Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills</li>
<li>Knowledge of electronic medical record systems like EPIC</li>
</ul>

<li>Skilled with Microsoft Office platforms</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to learn new systems and programs</li>
<li>Attention to detail, ability to manage time effectively and strong organizational, and decision-making skills.</li>
<li>Ability to handle confidential information and maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA.</li>
<li>Orientation to detail, ability to maintain accurate records, and handle multiple projects and interact with staff at all levels is required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.</li>
