<ul><li>Assess and provide services to participants to address health and wellness, housing, income support, education, vocational training, employment and social supports.</li><li>Complete assessments and service plans as needed</li><li>Provide direct individual and group IMT services including: risk assessment; de-escalation; service planning and coordination; problem solving; support with obtaining housing; developing social connections; strengthening family and other relationships; developing independent living skills and obtaining necessary resources; accessing and accessing education and training; employment supports (job search, placement and support); entitlement and financial management; empowerment and self-help; wellness self-management with a focus on the development of coping skills; support with medications; and weekly groups.</li><li>Screen and assess (including for risk) participants, families and/or significant others involved with the participant to develop a person-centered treatment plan.</li><li>Screen and assess participants for the treatment of co-occurring substance use disorders.</li><li>Identify participant treatment and support service needs and associated service plan objectives based on participant goals assessment results, including risk associated with harmful behaviors.</li><li>Provide individual counseling that includes principles of Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment as appropriate.</li><li>Advocate for and liaise with participants within the criminal justice and shelter system.</li><li>Provide or connect participants to employment counseling, vocational rehabilitation, completion of housing applications and placement, and provision of life skills training.</li><li>Function as resource on behavioral health services and substance use and guide team in clinical meetings on these issues.</li><li>Provide harm reduction, integrated substance use treatment and relapse prevention services.</li><li>Develop and maintain cooperative and collaborative relationships with members of participants' networks.</li></ul>

Job Summary:</b></p><p>
CASES is currently seeking an Assistant Team Leader to join a new initiative, the Intensive Services Unit (ISU) within the Pretrial Services Department. In their role, the Assistant Team Leader will provide direct supervision and clinical support to four (4) staff members during the night shift in Manhattan Criminal Court. The oversight will be of a unique team who are building and maintaining a caseload from the courtroom to the community nightly. The Assistant Team Leader will assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the team with the additional support of the Director of Arraignments.</p><p>
The Intensive Services Unit (ISU) initiative will implement innovative approaches to working with individuals who have been placed in the Supervised Release Program and experience more extensive needs and challenges that may impact daily functioning and overall program engagement. The ideal candidate for this position will work well as part of a coordinated clinical team actively assisting all team members. The focus group of program participants manage challenges in mental health, substance use, employment, and medical health. This Publicity Assistant will work across our four imprints: Portfolio, a diverse list of business titles that we describe as &lsquo;nonfiction for ambitious people&rsquo;; Thesis, which publishes nonfiction with strong points of view that challenge the status quo on both sides of the political aisle; and Sentinel, which publishes a small list of idea-driven nonfiction that speaks to the political and cultural right.<br>

Our authors are internationally recognized economists, leaders, professors, CEOs, journalists, media personalities, and movement starters, and our mission is to help them refine and position their message, build their tribes, and spread their ideas far and wide.<br>

The Publicity Assistant should be highly motivated, enthusiastic about publishing, and enjoy reading broadly and often. We seek an individual ready to champion our books from day one while working alongside a fast-paced team. The Assistant should be a detail-orientated self-starter, a strong written and verbal communicator, and an organized multitasker. If you are comfortable asking questions, asking for help when needed, and being an active participant on a collaborative team, this may be the position for you.<br>

<b>Specific responsibilities include:
</b></p><ul><li>Providing extensive support with high-profile media campaigns for bestselling authors
</li><li>Providing administrative and campaign support to two senior members of the publicity team
</li><li>Researching media opportunities, building outreach lists and seeking publicity opportunities across print, TV, radio, and online media.
</li><li>Writing press releases, pitch letters, and other promotional materials.
</li><li>Coordinating mailings, publicity materials, and review copy requests.

What You Will Do</b></p>

<li>Lead and manage the development of the assortment, including assortment selection and strategies, to support the high-level assortment vision and maximize sales, margin, and turnover.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors.</li>
<li>Develop a pre-season assortment vision aligned with company priorities and insights from Digital, Private Brands, and Planning Director counterparts.</li>
<li>Evaluate upcoming season trends in partnership with Trend Research and Forecasting and key vendors, recommending key trends and opportunities.</li>
<li>Partner with Financial Planning and Merchandise Planning to ensure department-level financial targets support assortment strategy.</li>

<li>Make in-season changes for the department and vendors based on sales, margin, and turnover forecasts from Financial Planning.</li>
<li>Present ROF strategy and problem resolution plan in partnership with Financial Planning.</li>
<li>Review category, class, and item performance analysis by Associate and Assistant Buyers, determining in-season item-level changes and reorder opportunities.</li>
<li>Maintain industry presence to foster connections, identify new business opportunities, and generate ideas for Macy's. Represent and support the Macy's brand while engaging in industry activities.</li>
<li>Conduct regular meetings with vendors to discuss current business and plan for the future.</li>
<li>Cultivate trust and collaborative relationships with the supplier community, in collaboration with Trend Research and Forecasting.</li>
