The Assistant Project Manager (APM) works directly for and with the Planning, Design, Construction and Infrastructure and is responsible for creating and executing plans for moderately complex projects. The APM works directly with division leadership on a number of duties and responsibilities which are listed below:</p><b><br>
Responsibilities</b><p>
1. Help organize and facilitate project-related meetings, including the creation of agendas and preparation of materials. Prepares and/or edits meeting minutes, presentations and tables<br>
2. Maintains detailed records and documentation of project activity and may be responsible for developing uniform procedures system wide. Provides feedback to communicate project findings as appropriate<br>
3. Develop reports, PowerPoints, spreadsheets and other deliverables assigned<br>
4. Tracks regulatory requirements for key infrastructure and building systems<br>
5. Monitors project deliverables and timelines, notifies management when issues arise, and take corrective actions, as needed. Site visits are required.<br>
6. Coordinate ordering, follow up of receipt and invoicing as necessary.<br>
7. Responsible for conference travel planning, and departmental correspondence as it relates to the project<br>
8. May be responsible for communication with outside contractors and/or vendors and consultants as required by the project.<br>
9. Coordinates periodic project management meetings with architectural and engineering consultants, contractors, subcontractors and user clients<br>
10. Coordinates and schedules work with other departments<br>
11. Examines design and construction work, reports findings, follows up with corrective work<br>
12. Effectively assists with managing and reporting costs to budget on monthly commitment plans<br>
13. Assists VP &amp; SVP with administrative duties of the department<br>

   Position Responsibilities

   Creates and innovates with a strong conceptual design ability and integrates interdisciplinary criteria to effectively move the design of a project component(s) forward.

   Demonstrates a basic understanding of Interiors and Architectural building materials and finishes, building systems, specifications, current and applicable building, design and detailing standards and construction techniques. Able to enrich design concepts through technical strategies and effectively uses appropriate tools to research, design and document at all project phases.

   Demonstrates a basic knowledge of Interior Architecture and Architectural design including workplace planning and design concept development (hospitality and/or residential as applicable), design documentation, construction documentation, construction administration, and furniture (FF&amp;E) and materials selection and specifications.

   Manages time and workload to meet project task deadlines and commitments with regular interaction and direction from project leaders.
