Evidence for independent skills in molecular biology, and standard immunoprotein methods (e.g., immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry, ELISA) required. Experience with mouse handling, husbandry and genotyping essential to work with Research Associates.</li><li>
Initially, research a topic chosen by the PI, but input from the person in this position is essential.</li><li>

The Blanchard Laboratory is seeking highly skilled, creative, and motivated scientists to join our team studying how genetic and environmental factors shape the human brain&rsquo;s vulnerability to neurodegenerative disease.
Our research focuses on uncovering the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying Alzheimer&rsquo;s disease and related neurodegenerative disorders, with the goal of identifying new therapeutic strategies. To accomplish this, the lab develops and applies advanced human iPSC-based brain models, including multicellular organoid and assembloid systems that recapitulate key aspects of human brain biology. These platforms are integrated with genomic, computational, and systems-level approaches to understand how genetic risk factors and environmental exposures drive disease processes.

Projects in the laboratory span multiple areas of neurodegeneration research, including:
Genetic risk mechanisms in Alzheimer&rsquo;s disease (e.g., APOE biology)

<div>Description
The Blanchard Laboratory at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking passionate and highly motivated individuals to join our team working on a funded NASA-supported research program investigating how spaceflight and environmental stressors influence the human brain and neurodegenerative disease risk. Researchers will work closely with members of the laboratory to engineer iPSC-derived vascular and multicellular 3D models of the human brain and apply these platforms to study mechanisms underlying Alzheimer&rsquo;s disease and related neurodegenerative disorders. These models are also being adapted for spaceflight experiments on the International Space Station, providing a unique opportunity to participate in cutting-edge work at the intersection of stem cell biology, neuroscience, and space medicine. The successful candidate will contribute to the generation and characterization of human stem cell&ndash;derived brain models and will assist with experimental workflows supporting both ground-based and spaceflight studies.

We are looking for a Computational Scientist in Computational Biology and Machine Learning to join our growing translational research program at the Tisch Cancer Institute. Our team studies myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and related myeloid malignancies, combining single-cell multi-omics, clinical data, and artificial intelligence&ndash;based approaches to understand disease mechanisms, identify biomarkers, support drug development, and improve patient care.
The scientist will work closely with longitudinal patient datasets, integrating genomics, immune and cytokine profiling, treatment responses, and clinical trial outcomes.

Build machine learning models linking genomic drivers to clinical phenotypes, cytokine profiles, and treatment outcomes using ensemble methods and deep learning</li><li>
Develop interpretable risk stratification models for disease progression and treatment response, with a focus on clinical relevance</li></ul> 
AI &amp; Large Language Model Development<ul><li>
