Position Summary: 
The Associate Scientist will join the Automation Process Development team and support the development and qualification of scale down models for automated cell manufacturing suits (AMS) with focus on transduction process development. The role involves hands-on execution of experiments, including lentiviral vector titration and the development of bioreactor/automated processing system scale down models. The successful candidates will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to advance process understanding and support technology transfer activities. 
 
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Develop, optimize, and qualify scale down models for bioreactor and automated cell processing systems, simulating large-scale manufacturing conditions.</li><li>
Perform lentiviral vector titration assays to determine viral particle concentration and support process development activities.</li><li>
Prepare cell culture media, reagents, and samples for experimental procedures.</li><li>

Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>

 The Translational Biology team is looking for a creative and driven Associate Scientist/ Senior Associate Scientist to help advance our portfolio of cell therapies that have entered early clinical trials. Key responsibilities of this role are to develop non-clinical data packages for product mechanistic insights, potential combination therapies, identify new indications for our clinical stage assets and support manufacturing processes/platforms. The successful candidate will conduct laboratory-based experiments to contribute to mechanism of action and drug combination studies that would enable deeper durable responses for patients. The candidate must be familiar with mammalian cell culture and setting up in vitro functional assays to measure product functional attributes such as proliferation, cytokine production, phenotypic analysis, and cytotoxic activity. Prior experience with clinical samples, human T cells and/or evaluation of CAR-T is preferred. Flow cytometry experience is highly preferable. In addition, this position will work closely with senior researchers to execute studies, analyze data and communicate timely results. Highly team-oriented outlook and ability to prioritize multiple workstreams are a must.  Key job responsibilities

 You will work on our Science team and partner closely with applied scientists, data engineers as well as product managers, UX designers, and business partners to answer complex problems via data analysis. Outputs from your analysis will directly help improve the performance of the ML based recommendation systems thereby enhancing the customer experience as well as inform the roadmap for science and the product.

 You can effectively analyze complex and disparate datasets collected from diverse sources to derive key insights, build segmentation models and improve customer experience by reducing retail returns.

This non-exempt internship pays an hourly rate of $28.00 and is full-time (40 hours per week).
