As a key member of The Emancipator&rsquo;s editorial team, the Video Editor is responsible for taking lead on the news organization&rsquo;s daily and in-depth multimedia news coverage ensuring we &ldquo;stay in the conversation&rdquo; with mission-focused video and audio content that is sharp, timely, relevant, fast, deftly researched, vetted, and well crafted. The Video Editor is a multimedia producer who can nimbly report, script, shoot, edit, and produce timely video and audio content for our social media channels, newsletter, and website. This person has the vision and skill to take the lead on short and longer-form video and audio content. The Video Editor reports directly to the Managing Editor. This position is funded by a one-year grant, with the possibility of renewal.</p><p></p><p><b>

While this role has no direct supervisory authority, the Video Editor will be asked to help mentor student interns and/or student employees. This role may be asked to serve as lead on projects related to helping promote The Emancipator&rsquo;s editorial mission and goals.
