 The Audio/Video Editor in the Media Production department plays a key role in supporting digital media requests and capturing archival recordings of the important work performed here at The Juilliard School.

 This role edits audio and video of student performances, creating the media that will be delivered directly to the student as well as to JMedia, Juilliard&rsquo;s archive. The ideal candidate has experience working hands-on with video and audio editing software (Adobe Premiere and ProTools experience required) and has a musical background as well.

 Students and the institution utilize Media Production&rsquo;s services for auditions, competition submissions, personal archives, and other projects. The Audio/Video Editor reports to the Director of Media Production and collaborates directly with other key members of the Media Production team.

 The salary is $18.50 per hour (20 hours per week for 40 weeks) or a contracted amount of $14,800 for the school year. The video producer will collaborate closely with the Unexplainable team to make a stand-out weekly video podcast. This is an exciting opportunity to help us develop a new visual identity for our audience. Overview</div><div>
Video Editors bring compelling, culturally-impactful, entertaining, and diverse branded content to life every day. Candidates should be natural storytellers and creatives first, interested in a role that spans a wide array of projects and styles, and able to collaborate with Creatives and Production.</div><div></div><div>
This position works closely with Directors, Producers, Creatives, Post Production Supervisors, other post-production team members, and reports to the Supervising Editor.</div><div></div><div>
Responsibilities</div><ul><li><div>
Edit a variety of complex branded digital video concepts across Cond&eacute; Nast&rsquo;s portfolio of brands</div></li><li><div>
Collaborate with Creatives, Directors and Producers throughout post production to meet the creative and client goals of each unique project</div></li><li><div>
Able to quickly and independently cut to the essence of a story, and create compelling and entertaining narratives from diverse raw materials</div></li><li><div>
Maintain active lines of communication with Post Production Supervisors, Directors, and Producers throughout the course of a project; be vocal when it comes to a project&rsquo;s scheduling, creative, and technical needs, and flag concerns or delays promptly</div></li><li><div>
Skillfully address client and internal notes throughout the course of a project</div></li><li><div>
Video Editors will have multiple projects assigned to them at once; time management and flexibility are key to successfully stay on schedule in CNE&rsquo;s fast-paced, high-volume post-production environment.</div></li><li><div>
For any assigned project, complete motion graphics, color correction, sound design and mix, deliverables, and cue sheets</div></li><li><div>
When applicable, collaborate with graphics editors, sound mixers, and colorists to complete projects on schedule</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Required Skills</div><ul><li><div>
Minimum 4 years editing experience, primarily in digital video content; past work in a fast-paced, high-volume studio, media company, or post facility environment preferred</div></li><li><div>
Experience with editing for commercial or branded productions</div></li><li><div>
A well-documented history of working in a number of styles and formats is extremely important</div></li><li><div>
Must be proficient in Adobe Premiere, with advanced capabilities with After Effects strongly preferred</div></li><li><div>
Strong finishing skills; able to handle color correction, sound mix, motion graphics, and possess the capability to deliver high quality design and stylized content</div></li><li><div>
Knowledgeable of professional workflows for graphics and VFX, audio mixing, color correction, and on-line mastering of deliverable assets</div></li><li><div>

The expected base salary range for this position is from $82,000 - $105,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.</div><div></div><div>
