   Hiring, for original titles, freelance copy editors, proofreaders, and indexers and reviewing their work through all passes, including clearing manuscripts post-copyediting and collating changes from authors, licensors, and freelancers in page proofs

   Performing quality checks on ebook files

   Copyediting jacket/cover copy and second-format additional material, including sales quotes and reading group guides, and proofreading jackets/covers, captions, and additional material

Ensuring the timely archiving and processing of all budgets, proposals, and book records in the Title Management system and on internal servers.</li><li>
Creating, tracking, and managing metadata needs while liaising with metadata and copy managers, the marketing team, and acquiring editors.</li><li>
Thoughtfully contracting and managing schedules for external freelancers, including copy editors, proofreaders, sensitivity readers, indexers, and technical editors.</li><li>
Managing and archiving book contracts and financial paperwork (work‑for‑hire agreements, author and illustrator contracts, designer paperwork, etc.).</li><li>
Overseeing visual asset management within the Title Management system, as well as maintaining sales materials and book archives.</li><li>
Requesting and coordinating Library of Congress and Copyright Office data, mailings, and communications.</li><li>
Providing editorial support during title development, including photo research, creating art logs, inserting artwork into manuscripts, building book maps, generating barcodes, and collating proofreader marks.</li><li>
Supporting the publisher and sales teams by creating sales presentations, arranging sample mailings, printing spreads, preparing for book fairs, and assisting with contract and proposal drafting.</li><li>

 The Audio/Video Editor in the Media Production department plays a key role in supporting digital media requests and capturing archival recordings of the important work performed here at The Juilliard School.

 This role edits audio and video of student performances, creating the media that will be delivered directly to the student as well as to JMedia, Juilliard&rsquo;s archive. The ideal candidate has experience working hands-on with video and audio editing software (Adobe Premiere and ProTools experience required) and has a musical background as well.

 Students and the institution utilize Media Production&rsquo;s services for auditions, competition submissions, personal archives, and other projects. The Audio/Video Editor reports to the Director of Media Production and collaborates directly with other key members of the Media Production team.

 The salary is $18.50 per hour (20 hours per week for 40 weeks) or a contracted amount of $14,800 for the school year. The schedule is determined in collaboration with the supervisor and may include opportunities for remote work; however, on-campus presence is expected as per the agreed-upon schedule.
