DEPARTMENT FUNCTIONS-Electrical Engineering is a highly specialized group whose function is to provide design-engineering service covering:</h5><ul><li><ul><li>Electrical Distribution System Design &ndash; Develop the optimum electrical distribution system based upon desired reliability, maintainability, flexibility and cost.</li></ul></li><li>
System Studies/Calculations &ndash; Perform calculations and analysis for the following studies: short circuit, arc flash, load flow, voltage drop, motor starting analysis, power factor correction, arc flash, load calculation, transient analysis, power system harmonics analysis and protective relay coordination.</li><li>
Area Classification &ndash; Determine the classification of hazardous (classified) locations for the selection and installation of electrical equipment.</li><li>
Electrical MCC &amp; SWGR Building &ndash; Determine location, size and arrangement of major electrical equipment.</li></ul>
Standards Specifications &ndash; Responsible for technical content of standards and preparation of specification including:

Grounding Resistors
Switchgear (SWGR) / Motor Control Center (MCC)

Requirements: 
Qualifications<ul><li>
Typically 2 - 6 years of proven engineering experience in oil and gas industry.</li><li>
Knowledge of computer systems in an engineering environment.</li><li>
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul> 
Education<ul><li>
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering</li><li>
EIT Certification</li></ul>
