The event will take place on Tuesday, May 19th. The project includes the design of a printed poster, a digital poster, and a third application (stickers, postcard, etc.)

Position Summary
The Senior Graphic Designer at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum has a strong knowledge of brand design and how it applies across marketing channels from print and digital communications to social and website experiences. They are versed in executing established brand standards, supporting the design and production of print and digital brand campaigns and email journey development.
Additionally, the Senior Graphic Designer designs and builds website pages in Drupal in a manner that always takes User Experience (UX) and accessibility standards into account. The Senior Graphic Designer uses strong communication skills to collaborate with team partners and internal clients, synthesizing feedback to improve design and communication solutions.
Requirements: 
Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities<ul><li>
Supports the creative execution of brand content, including marketing campaigns, collateral, digital, emails, etc. while maintaining and monitoring standards across the Museum under the guidance of the Director of Marketing and Communications.</li><li>
Collaborates with internal Museum clients, team partners, and leadership to support the creative execution of brand and exhibition marketing campaigns that support the Museum&rsquo;s strategic priorities and Isabella Stewart Gardner&rsquo;s vision and legacy.</li><li>

As a Brand Designer Intern, you'll support our creative team in building bold, strategic design work for world-leading technology and other exciting B2B brands. You'll collaborate across visual identity, social, campaign and content projects &mdash; creating high-quality assets that help brands show up consistently and creatively across every touchpoint.

This internship is ideal for a designer who's excited to learn fast, contribute meaningfully and strengthen their portfolio through real client work. You'll work closely with designers, copywriters, strategists and creative directors, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced agency environment where design decisions are grounded in both craft and strategy.

Responsibilities:

<li>Design logos, visual identity systems, brand guidelines and a wide range of assets for branding, marketing campaigns and content.</li>
<li>Follow established brand guidelines while creating compelling and engaging visual designs.</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with designers, copywriters, strategists and creative directors to bring brand and marketing concepts to life.</li>
<li>Develop templates for social media, content, presentations and other materials to activate new brand identities.</li>
<li>Support brand activations by sourcing and selecting images, icons and illustrations.</li>
<li>Partner with motion designers to create storyboards for dynamic brand animations.</li>
<li>Prepare and deliver production-ready files for multiple platforms and formats.</li>
<li>Help organize design assets and maintain clear, consistent file management systems.</li>
<li>Incorporate feedback from internal teams and clients to refine and improve design work.</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of grid systems, layouts, typography, composition and color theory.</li>
<li>Currently pursuing or recently completed a design-related degree from an accredited university or college.</li>
<li>Ability to accept constructive feedback and apply it effectively.</li>
<li>Passion for creative problem-solving and staying current with design and marketing trends.</li>
</ul>
Bonus:
<ul>
<li>Experience working in Figma is a plus.</li>
<li>Experience working at an agency is a plus.</li>
<li>Experience working in Trello or a project management platform is a plus.</li>

Internship Details:
<ul>
<li>Hybrid: 1 or 2 days per week in our Chicago, Seattle or Boston offices/3 days per week remote</li>
<li>Duration: 12 weeks, paid internship.</li>
<li>Start Date: May 26, 2026</li>
<li>Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week).</li>
<li>Eligibility: Open to students between their junior and senior years, including those eligible for full-time employment after the internship.</li>
