PURPOSE
 
Responsible for driving delivery vehicles and/or operating truck-trailer combinations to transport and deliver materials to customer sites. Adheres to driver safety/compliance regulations, delivers un-damaged goods on schedule, and provides professional service to customers. Drives vehicle weighing greater than 26,000 pounds and may tow vehicles or trailers greater than 10,000 pounds.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
<ul>
<li>May load or assist with loading and appropriately securing product, materials, or supplies inside delivery vehicle.</li>
<li>Delivers customer orders to specified delivery site. Maneuvers vehicles into loading or unloading positions and ensures that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. Assists customers with unloading materials safely and accurately. Takes all precautions to protect the product and the customer’s property.</li>
<li>Verifies order details and maintains logs of delivery duties including amounts and/or weights of items, mileage and locations of deliveries. Checks items against invoice to ensure order accuracy.</li>
<li>Acts as a customer service liaison between the company and the site customer. Handles customer concerns and helps resolve issues as they arise.</li>
<li>Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles; performs routine safety checks to ensure vehicles comply with company guidelines.</li>
<li>Required to use hand held devices, except for while driving, to ensure compliance with DVIR and HOS.</li>
<li>Maintain hours of service logs and pre/post trip inspection procedures.</li>
<li>May perform credit/product return pick-ups and related paperwork.</li>
<li>Operate a Forklift or non-motorized material handling equipment to load and off load materials to designated areas.</li>
<li>Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Drive commercial frontload or ancillary equipment along designated routes to mechanically collect solid waste and take to post-collection facilities.</li><li>
Open container enclosures or gates to access cans. As needed, roll 3-4-yard cans on castors into position for dumping.</li><li>
Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections; complete and submit a vehicle condition report at the end of the shift.</li><li>

Requirements:<ul><li>

We are looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner.Responsibilities<ul><li>Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers</li><li>Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance</li><li>Plan routes and meet delivery schedules</li><li>Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts</li><li>Input &ldquo;macros&rdquo; into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process</li><li>Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures</li><li>Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions</li><li>Collect and verify delivery instructions</li><li>Report defects, accidents or violations</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proven work experience as a truck driver</li><li>Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)</li><li>Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly</li><li>Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations</li><li>No recent moving or driving violations</li><li>Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)</li><li>Valid truck driving license</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $1,000.00 - $2,500.00 per weekExperience:<ul><li>Heavy &amp; Tractor-Trailer Truck Drivers: 4 years (Preferred)</li><li>Driving: 4 years (Preferred)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>CDL A (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
