The Complex Care Clinic at Texas Children's Hospital seeks another MD or DO to join its team of outpatient complex care pediatricians and nurse practitioners. Our program staff include clinical nurses and medical assistants, nurse care coordinators, patient navigators, social workers, and dedicated dietitian team. An embedded child/adolescent psychiatrist is also part of the team. We provide primary care, consultations, and care coordination for children with medical complexity. The patient population is focused on youth with medical complexity from the Houston metro area. Our patients' diagnoses include extreme prematurity, tracheostomy and ventilator dependence, genetic disorders, short bowel syndrome.</p><p></p><p><br>
While primarily responsible for direct clinical care as a primary care pediatrician, this position would also involve research, advocacy, and education for families, health care professionals, and others. The Complex Care Clinic program is housed within the Section of Academic General Pediatrics and includes a wide array of faculty experts in medical education, health policy, advocacy, immigrant health and vaccination policy.</p><p></p><p><br>
The ideal candidate would preferably have experience in complex care or team-based, comprehensive care. An ability to work well with parents and a multidisciplinary team is essential, as is a passion for working with children and youth with special health care needs. The Department of Radiation Oncology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX is recruiting for a position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. Physicians are anticipated to take part in all facets of the clinical care, research, and educational mission of the College. Rank and salary based upon experience. This position would focus on Breast and Gynecologic Cancers and the applicant would be expected to participate in the HDR brachytherapy practice. This is a robust gynecologic practice treating &gt;100 patients per year across 4 physician providers and 2 health systems both equipped with new Varian Bravos units. Candidates must have completed their residency in an ACGME-accredited radiation oncology program and/or fellowship in an accredited US training program and have a track record of excellence in clinical care and research.</p><p></p><p><br>

Job Duties</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>Oversee and coordinate logistics and execution of various research projects.</li><li>Manage project progress and execution of project goals and milestones.</li><li>Plan and direct research experiments related to research studies implementing the MasSpec Pen technology for tissue analysis and cancer detection.</li><li>Organize, evaluate, and analyze data with other researchers.</li><li>Develop research techniques and perform applications required for specific research projects.</li><li>Conduct literature searches and summarize information in an appropriate format for a particular study.</li><li>Document results of experiments and reports to principal investigators.</li><li>Supervise, schedule and coordinate the activities of the research team involved in multiple research projects.</li><li>Write progress reports, manuscripts and grant proposals.</li><li>Manage execution of experiments using mass spectrometry instrumentation, as well as data and statistical analysis.</li><li>Lead clinical studies and participate in research involving human subjects. Interact directly with clinicians, surgeons, and pathologists to fulfill the aims of the research projects.</li><li>Supervise research staff including graduate and undergraduate students.</li></ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Minimum Qualifications</b></h2></div><div><p>
Required Education and Experience: Ph.D. in computer science, data science, medical informatics, or related field. Successful track record of collaboration with clinical investigators and in interdisciplinary teams; accomplished academic record sufficient to fulfill criteria for an assistant professor level faculty appointment at Baylor College of Medicine.</p></div></div></div><p></p><p><br>
