The Courier II is responsible for the pick-up, transportation and delivery of lab specimens, medical records, medications, and patient related documentation among various departments within Fred Hutch clinics and campus, off-site clinics and via shuttle service or by driving a Fred Hutch vehicle.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
This is a full-time, hourly position. The hours are 10:30am-7:00pm. Location South Lake Union campus and driving between Issaquah/Overlake sites.</b></div>
Responsibilities:

The Warren Lab in Translational Science and Therapeutics is seeking a motivated full-time summer <b>Lab Aide</b> to support ongoing exciting research in T-cell immunology in cancer. Under the supervision of a staff scientist, the student will assist with routine lab tasks and gain original research experience in support of their academic goals.</div><div></div><div><br>

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibility will be supporting tissue culture and flow cytometry experiments related to ongoing research projects testing chimeric antigen receptors and T-cell receptors targeting tumor antigens in kidney cancer, and using scRNAseq data to identify cell surface markers associated with T-cell clonal expansion in the tumor microenvironment and their wet lab validation.</div><div><br>

Inventorying and re-stocking lab supplies.</li><li>
Maintaining the tissue culture room including processing biohazard waste, changing aspirator apparatuses, and cleaning incubators as needed.</li><li>

 The Courier I is responsible for the pick-up, transportation and delivery of lab specimens, medical records, medications, and patient related documentation within the Fred Hutch clinic and campus.

 This is a full-time, hourly position, location is onsite at our South Lake Union campus.

   Deliver all specimens, medications, and patient-related materials, accurately and within an appropriate time frame.
  </li>
  <li>
   Monitor courier phone and manage shifting priorities to maintain route schedule (if applicable).
  </li>
  <li>
   Maintain courier logs, ensure courier entries are legible, accurate and adhere to standard written procedures.
  </li>
  <li>
   Report and assist with tracking of missing or damaged specimens, medications, and patient related materials.
  </li>
  <li>
   Assist with training new couriers as needed.
  </li>
  <li>
   Fill in for other routes as needed or other Supply Chain.
  </li>
  <li>
   Assist with storeroom duties during downtime.
  </li>

   Adhere to departmental procedures and Fred Hutch policies.

   Pharmacy Assistant License (must be able to attain a Pharmacy Assistant License within 45 days of hire).

   Ability to communicate in person as well as in writing professionally and effectively.

   Excellent multi-tasking and interpersonal skills.

 The hourly pay range for this position is from $21.30 to $30.13 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.

</b></p><p></p><p>Reporting to the Clinical Associate Professor, the Research Coordinator will help coordinate the activities of several funded projects, at various stages of study launch, data collection, data analyses, and dissemination of findings. There are also administrative tasks including assistance with grant application preparation; maintenance of websites and social media; management of team meetings, supplies and equipment, and functions; and coordination of volunteer staff. This position will help our team produce new knowledge that is in line with the mission of the UW as a scientific leader.
</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities
</b></p><ul><li>Manage pre-launch activities, including drafting protocols, Manual of Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and other forms as requested by funders, study documents (e.g., consent, assent, information forms, study advertisements, social media posts), and completing IRB applications. Train and coordinate research volunteers and research assistants to support projects. - 15%
