What You'll Do</h4>

As a critical member of the Mobile Product Engineering team, you will:
<ul>
<li>Build and evolve key native features of the WeightWatchers Android app that support members in their health journeys: food tracking, activity logging, weight trends, progress milestones, and more.</li>
<li>Deliver seamless and intuitive experiences using modern Android development practices and the latest UI frameworks.</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data, and Behavioral Science teams to deliver features that support daily habit formation, long-term motivation, and improved health outcomes.</li>
<li>Own the implementation of upcoming flagship initiatives, ensuring high performance and a premium &quot;look and feel.&quot;</li>
<li>Shape the architectural decisions and technical standards for our Android application, promoting scalability and maintainability.</li>
<li>Operate with high autonomy and influence: proactively question assumptions, bring new ideas, and champion product quality, performance, and member-centric design.</li>
</ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader">Who You Are</h4>
<ul><li>Native Android Expert: Deep experience in Android development (Kotlin), with a solid grasp of Jetpack Compose, MVVM/Clean Architecture, and modular app structure.</li>
<li>Product-Minded Engineer: A passion for mobile product engineering&mdash;especially around improving member experience, usability, and long-term engagement.</li>
<li>Systems Thinker: An independent and critical thinker who brings a strong sense of ownership and an understanding of how code impacts the end-user.</li>
<li>Collaborative Partner: Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional stakeholders, capable of explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical partners.</li>
<li>Bonus: Experience working in health, wellness, or behavior-change-driven apps.</li>
</ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader">Qualifications</h4>
<ul><li>12-15+ years of experience in professional Android app development.</li>
<li>Expertise in Kotlin and modern Android libraries (Coroutines, Flow, Dagger/Hilt, etc.).</li>
<li>Deep knowledge of the mobile development lifecycle and architecture best practices.</li>
<li>Familiarity with native tooling, including product instrumentation, feature toggling, progressive rollout systems, expertise in unit &amp; UI testing &amp; CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane/GitHub Actions)</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor junior engineers while articulating technical decisions.</li>
