SUMMARY 
Performs scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and installation tasks on the physical plant, equipment and machinery, according to standards. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect impact on product safety, legality and/or quality.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES<ul><li>
Meets plant objectives in safety, quality, cost and customer care.</li><li>
Provides technical support for efficient troubleshooting / problem solving activities and maintenance repair to maximize efficiencies and limit downtime.</li><li>
Maintains and repairs all equipment in operation which includes pumps, motors, conveyors, and much more.</li><li>
Troubleshoots PLC&rsquo;s.</li><li>
Respond quickly to service calls.</li><li>
Maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical issues.</li><li>
Reads technical manuals to understand equipment and controls.</li><li>
Performs tests and runs initial batches to make sure that the machine is running smoothly.</li><li>
Cleans and lubricates equipment or machinery.</li><li>
Tests malfunctioning machinery to determine whether major repairs are needed.</li><li>
Preventative, predictive and scheduled maintenance.</li><li>
Floor visibility during machine run times</li><li>
Adherence to GMP&rsquo;s and safety.</li><li>
Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.</li></ul><ul><li>
High School diploma required, College or Technical Education from accredited institutions preferred, Journeyman&rsquo;s training is beneficial.</li><li>
3+ years&rsquo; experience in industrial machine maintenance.
</li><li>Large food equipment repair experience.</li><li>
Basic forklift (stand &amp; sit) and pallet jack maintenance.</li><li>
Hands on experience with Vemag, Formax, Repak and MultiVak food processing equipment.</li><li>
Basic PLC/Motor Controls/VFD knowledge, Allen Bradley, Siemens &amp; GE Fanuc.</li><li>
Basic welding skills.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of conveyor metal detection systems.</li><li>
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and basic logic issues.</li><li>
Ability to troubleshoot labeling and taping equipment.</li><li>
Experience with tooling and basic machine shop equipment.</li><li>
Knowledge of maintenance work order systems.</li><li>
Understanding of ammonia refrigeration and compressed air systems.</li><li>
Daily inspection of critical equipment and devices.</li><li>
Strong mechanical, analytical and solution driven skills.</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication ability.</li><li>
Experience with automation, conveyors.</li></ul>

Job Description
The Automotive Mechanic supports daily fleet readiness across Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles and Electric Vehicles by performing diagnostics, mechanical and electrical repairs, and detailed documentation to ensure all vehicles remain safe, compliant, and road ready.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Perform advanced inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical/electrical repairs on electric vehicles, and wheelchair accessible vehicles to maintain fleet safety and uptime.</li><li>
Diagnose and repair brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and electrical components within an authorized scope.</li><li>
Support TowerWAV systems by inspecting and repairing accessibility components, escalating powered or safety-critical issues as required.</li><li>
Perform TowerEV service within scope, including thermal systems, 12V electrical, and software resets; escalate high-voltage work per policy.</li></ul>
Additional Duties:<ul><li>
Own complex work orders with detailed diagnostics, repair notes, and photos in the fleet system.</li><li>
Conduct post-repair quality checks to prevent repeat failures and ensure road ready standards.</li><li>
Coordinate with Fleet Associates and vendors to resolve issues efficiently.
</li><li>Escalate high-risk, structural, high-voltage, or manufacturer-restricted repairs promptly.</li></ul>
General Skills &amp; Qualifications:<ul><li>
Advanced experience on automotive repair knowledge.</li><li>
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues, including wheelchair ramps, restraint systems, and accessibility components.
</li><li>Ability to perform roadside repairs such as jumpstarts, flat tire replacements, lockouts, and basic field troubleshooting.</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement in learning.</li><li>
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and showcase the ability to take initiative, value collaboration, and become highly adaptable.</li><li>
Must be highly organized.</li><li>
Be able to quickly learn new applications, software, and dashboards as adopted and used within the company.
</li><li>Must have an active driver&rsquo;s license and be approved on the company&rsquo;s insurance.
</li><li>Able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance as needed.</li></ul>

Ability to work with production to ensure timely repair of equipment is essential. and reports to the Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities:

<li>Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, and equipment</li>
