<div>Seeking an experienced Patient Care Technician to join one of the world's most respected centers devoted exclusively to cancer patient care, research, education and prevention. 
 
The ideal candidate brings 1-2 years of experience and a consistently positive, team oriented attitude, with the flexibility to adapt to changing needs across the unit. CNA certification is welcome but not required, and candidates should feel confident floating to other PACU areas as needed. This role is best suited for someone who thrives in collaborative, fast paced clinical environments.
 
 
The schedule is 5:00am-1:30pm, occasional weekend rotation.

<ul><li>Utilizes time in an efficient manner by completing assigned responsibilities. Checks with ANM or OR Schedule Coordinator for additional assignments when free.</li><li>Organizes workflow (contributes to on-time starts, works to turnover cases as efficiently as possible); uses resources efficiently (time, materials, supplies, equipment).
</li><li>Maintains stability in performance while under pressure and handles crisis and difficult situations without inappropriate emotionality.
</li><li>Puts away all supplies &amp; equipment after case.
</li><li>Demonstrates knowledge of operational costs, participates in cost-saving strategies, and avoids wastes of supplies, resources.
</li><li>Completes annual self-appraisal and provides appropriate documentation.

Essential Performance Functions
 
<ul><li>Prepares and Maintains the Surgical Environment for the assigned patient(s).
</li><li>Provides direct patient care according to performance standards.
</li><li>Leans and turns over the OR, preparing the surgical environment for the next patient according to performance standards.
</li><li>Performs transport and supply responsibilities according to the performance standards.
</li><li>Cleans the OR after the last case and prepares the room for closure according to the performance standards.
