Project Manager (PM) will serve as a primary point of contact to the WMATA Task Manager to lead, manage, and supervise the scope of work associated with the projects. This position requires an effective team leader who can mentor project team members and foster a working environment where culturally diverse project staff can collaborate to deliver projects on schedule and under cost while meeting the applicable quality standards found in WMATA&rsquo;s Safety and Security Plans and Procedures.</div><div></div><div><br>
The PM is responsible for managing all work for the respective project lifecycles to include the production of project deliverables. The nature of the work shall be considered high profile with substantial political interaction and public scrutiny. Specific responsibilities include planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, safety, and coordination of plan review and internal technical and support staff. The duties for this role require the individual to work in-person from WMATA RBIR office with a minimum of a monthly site visit.</div><p></p><p><b><br>
The work you'll do:</b></p><ul><li>
Facilitates the development and implementation of several contracts for RBIR mechanical program;</li><li>
Present progress to WMATA executive management, the Metro Board of Directors, and the General Manager when asked;</li><li>
Provide recommendations with subject matter expertise on complex engineering issues with an innovative approach;</li><li>
Develop a Project Management Plan for each project to coordinate and manage the overall contract budget, schedule, and risks for the work involved in the Tunnel Vent Shaft Rehabilitation Program;</li><li>
Establish Planned vs. Actual Schedule and Cost variances with Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to communicate project status with all stakeholders;</li><li>
Lead and attend program meetings (weekly meetings anticipated) with WMATA Task Manager and other WMATA personnel at Metro&rsquo;s offices, at Metro&rsquo;s discretion, and publish meeting notes that document the Tunnel Vent Shaft Rehabilitation programmatic progress;</li><li>
Comply with procedures identified in both the WMATA and Consultant Project Implementation Manual;</li><li>
Ensure all work is in accordance with WMATA&rsquo;s rules, regulations, and guidelines, specifically Roadway Worker Protection Manual, Quality Management Manual, Construction Safety Manual, and Safety and Security Certification Plans;</li><li>
Administering engineering requirements, program policies and procedures by which the Authority is governed, including federal, state, and local transit administration regulations and policies;</li><li>
Manage the program with little or no WMATA supervision;</li><li>
Onboard appropriate personnel for the scope of work and general level of effort required to meet the design reviews as the contract evolves;</li><li>
Use applicable industry standard techniques to execute the project work and manage the contract budget, schedule, and risks and report to WMATA Task Manager and Senior management;</li><li>
Generate and disseminate for acceptance Task Order Deliverables and status reporting; and</li><li>
Assist with the closeout of the construction contract, including the development of a Lessons Learned Report and other documentation as assigned by WMATA.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
