<div>The Patient Care Technician position on G20 Leukemia unit at MD Anderson Cancer Center provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse, and directly impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.<br>

<b>Ideal candidate must have a high school diploma and either one year of recent experience in an acute care setting as a Nursing Assistant or a CNA certification.</b><br>
<br>
The unit has vacancies for both dayshift and nightshift. The ideal person will be able to work 3-12/hour shifts from 7pm-7am with rotating weekends and holidays.<br>
<br>
The inpatient Hematology Service provides advanced oncology care to adult patients diagnosed with leukemia, myeloma, lymphoma and mycosis fungoides. Our health care team consists of specialized physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, clinical nurses, and ancillary staff. Typically, hematology patients are hospitalized for supportive care during active, aggressive high-dose chemotherapy/biotherapy and cellular therapy through a wide range of morbidity related symptoms, as well as re-hospitalization for treatment side effects.<br>
<br>
Inpatient Leukemia care includes diagnosis, induction, consolidation, maintenance chemotherapy and symptom management, as well as salvage therapies for relapsed disease. Patients with lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and mycosis fungoides are treated with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologic agents and radiation therapy on a dedicated unit.<br>

<div><div><b>Essential Duties Summary</b></div>
<div><div><b>Clinical Research Coordination:</b></div><ul>
<li>Coordinate and conduct day-to-day activities of MH Rx study.</li>
<li>Recruit, screen, and enroll study participants following inclusion/exclusion criteria.</li>
<li>Obtain and document informed consent from participants.</li>
<li>Schedule participant visits and perform follow-up assessments by protocol.</li>
<li>Collect, record, and maintain accurate clinical data and source documentation.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with study protocols, GCP, FDA regulations, and institutional policies.</li>
<li>Prepare and maintain essential regulatory documents (IRB submissions, initial submissions, amendments, continuing reviews, protocol deviations, etc.).</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with sponsors, monitors, and regulatory authorities.</li>
<li>Assist in budget planning and tracking of study expenses.</li>
<li>Report and follow up on adverse events as per protocol and regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Participate in study initiation, monitoring visits, and close-out processes.</li>

The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator provides management of recruitment, enrollment, scheduling, and monitoring of participants for research within clinical settings. Responsibilities include pre- and post-award financial management, including coverage analysis, regulatory submissions, and regulatory compliance; collaborating effectively with investigators, clinical staff, laboratory personnel, and research partners across departments and project sites; coordination with UTHealth Houston partners and clinical both within the TMC and nationwide as part of a multi-site clinical study; participant recruitment, screening, and enrollment for clinical trials; patient follow-up and direct patient care related to research visits; protocol implementation; data collection and entry into electronic data capture systems; maintenance of regulatory documentation; and coordination with sponsors and study monitors. Experience obtaining informed consent and enrolling participants in research studies is preferred. Familiarity with REDCap, EPIC, and Microsoft Office applications, prior experience with IRB submissions is preferred.
