<li>Communicating with authors and agents throughout the publication process, as well as acting as an interdepartmental liaison</li>
<li>Logging agented submissions, evaluating manuscripts, writing reader reports, and sending rejection letters</li>
<li>Drafting contract and check requests, generating sales reports, and tracking payments and invoices.</li>
<li>Writing flap copy, title information sheets, and catalog copy.</li>
<li>Assistance with special projects, research, and compiling various reports and intradepartmental information as needed</li>
<li>Basic administrative support, including schedule coordination, travel, and expense reports.</li>

<li>A genuine interest in book publishing: most of what you work on will be fiction and narrative nonfiction for the adult market, and a familiarity with the market is essential.</li>

This role will have an annual salary of $50,000.

This position is classified as remote but is tied to our New York, NY office located at 120 Broadway. Employment is subject to New York State tax withholding under applicable regulations.
