This position performs research on various criminal records from local and state agencies and is responsible for processing arrest and disposition information into the state&rsquo;s criminal history repository. Additionally, the position coordinates and responds to requests for record reviews from the department, criminal justice agencies, and the public and coordinates with law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, courts, and correctional facilities to obtain source documents for criminal history events.</div><br>

The criminal records unit processes all disposition information into the state&rsquo;s criminal history repository. APSIN CHECK</b><br>
This position requires the use of the Alaska Public Safety Information Network (APSIN). A security clearance issued by the Department of Public Safety (DPS) is necessary to use APSIN. DPS will deny security clearance for any applicant who has been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor in this state or another jurisdiction or who may be a fugitive from justice.
