Role Mission: The IDEA Interventionist Teacher intervenes with small groups of students who have identified gaps of 2 or more years in Reading and/or Math with the goal of closing that gap by 2 years in just one school year. The IDEA interventionist plays a crucial part in ensuring that all students are prepared to successfully participate in IDEA&rsquo;s AP for All initiative. This is an approach to academic intervention used to provide systematic, and appropriately intensive assistance to children who are at risk for or already underperforming as compared to appropriate grade- or age-level standards. Intervention teachers will use universal screening, Direct Instruction intervention, frequent progress monitoring, and increasingly intensive research-based instruction and interventions for students who continue to have difficulty.

Role Mission: IDEA Academy teachers are responsible for ensuring that every IDEA student masters the academic and social skills necessary to succeed in college, while also embodying IDEA&rsquo;s values daily. 
IDEA Academy teachers set ambitious goals for student achievement and invest students and families in accomplishing them; create a powerful learning environment; plan and deliver purposeful, rigorous instruction; assess for mastery and track student progress toward goals; analyze data to intervene and adjust instruction; and seek excellence as an educator and an IDEA team member. Academy core subjects are state assessed in grades 3rd, 4th, 5th grades.

Compensation:
<ul><li>The starting teacher salary for 0 years of experience is $64,000. This role is eligible for various stipends based on certifications, credentials, and campus leadership ranging from $500-$4,000 each. We also offer additional performance-based compensation. Additional hourly compensation is provided for after-school tutoring or Saturday school as assigned.</li></ul>

What You Bring - Competencies 
Qualifications:<ul><li>
High level of content-area proficiency as evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience (strongly preferred)</li><li>

Description:

Responsible for the development and coordination of internal and external communications for a large, complex college. Directs a comprehensive communications and marketing program and serves as primary media contact for local, national, and international news organizations.
 
 
1. Develops and manages a comprehensive communications and media relations program to raise the college's visibility (locally, regionally, nationally and internationally). Directs overall planning and implementation, including budget development and staff management.
 
2. Fosters and enhances relationships with stakeholders to increase awareness of the college's vision, mission, goals and community impact. Serves as the college's primary media contact for news organizations, and advises senior administration, faculty and staff in all areas involving media and other external relations vehicles.
 
3. Serves as primary marketing liaison for events coordinated by student organizations within the college, including lectures and symposia.
 
4. Works with senior administrators and staff to strengthen communications links with community and governmental agencies and organizations as well as other key constituent groups.
 
5. Builds and maintains relationships with campus and community media representatives to ensure consistent and accurate media coverage for the college. Uses partnerships to create and implement innovative marketing and communication strategies.
 
6. Manages all electronic content for college websites. May also coordinate social media and electronic communications by alumni groups.
 
7. Administers special events, marketing and media relations, and participates in other college advancement activities.
 
8. Reviews, edits and authorizes copy, and oversees design work on college publications.
