Job Summary</b></p><p>
The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and operating modern, scalable, and governed data platforms that enable enterprise analytics, reporting, and advanced data use cases. With 10+ years of hands on data engineering experience, this role acts as a senior individual contributor and technical leader, owning data architecture, pipelines, governance, and analytics ready data models across cloud platforms.</p><p>

We strive to create better results for pets, cultivate strong relationships with clients, and build a more connected, compassionate community.</p><p><b>Job Summary</b></p><p>Join our dynamic administrative team as a detail-oriented and experienced <b>Bookkeeper.</b> This critical role supports both our IVVH Primary Care and IVVH Emergency &amp; Critical Care facilities, <b>requiring a minimum of three years of general bookkeeping experience and one year of verified full-charge bookkeeping responsibilities.</b> This position <b>is on-site only </b> to meet company needs and is <b>not eligible for remote work</b>.</p><p>The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, with expertise in managing financial records, reconciling accounts, and utilizing various accounting software. As a bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial data, supporting our operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online or similar platforms.</li><li>Keep financial records and documentation organized digitally using Google Workspace applications.</li><li>Perform bookkeeping functions in Quickbooks Online; document sourcing, transaction validations, vendor and check setups.</li><li>Validate and track accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP), ensuring accurate records, timely payments and collections.</li><li>Generate and analyze PIMS (Practice Information Management System) reports forearnings validation and financial analysis.</li><li>Prepare journal entries for various financial transactions while ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).</li><li>Perform full bank and credit card reconciliations</li><li>Reconcile general ledger accounts regularly to verify accuracy and completeness of financial data.</li><li>Support budgeting activities by analyzing financial data and preparing reports for management review.</li><li>Conduct account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation to maintain the integrity of financial statements.</li><li>Track and remit sales tax on applicable retail product sales</li><li>Assist with payroll processing, including reviewing wages, deductions, and tax filings when applicable.</li><li>Assist with resolving client invoicing discrepancies, processing client refunds, resolving chargeback claims, and coordinating with various payment method vendors and platforms.</li><li>Provide administrative support for financial projects and initiatives, including preparing reports and documentation for audits.</li><li>Coordinate and initiate communications with external financial professionals</li><li>Perform clerical duties such as filing, emailing, copying, scanning, organizing, and meeting note-taking.</li></ul><p><b>Core Accounting &amp; Technical Skills:</b></p><ul><li><b>Full-Charge Bookkeeping:</b> Expertise in general ledger, double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and account analysis.</li><li><b>Compliance &amp; Reporting:</b> Strong knowledge of managerial and corporate accounting principles and GAAP standards, with excellent attention to detail in financial report writing and record-keeping.</li><li><b>Software Proficiency:</b> Proficient in QuickBooks (or similar) accounting software.</li><li><b>Data Entry:</b> Ability to perform efficient 10-key data entry.</li><li><i>Preferred:</i> Prior experience with payroll processing and tax compliance.</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications &amp; Experience:</b></p><ul><li><b>Certification (Preferred):</b> QuickBooks Pro Advisor or Pro Advisor Advanced certification.</li><li><b>Education (Preferred):</b> College degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping.</li><li><b>Industry Experience (Preferred):</b> Experience working within a veterinary or animal care setting.</li></ul><p><b>Professional Attributes:</b></p><ul><li><b>Independence:</b> Proven ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.</li><li><b>Work Ethic:</b> Highly driven, innovative, takes initiative, and demonstrates strong commitment to honesty and integrity.</li><li><b>Communication:</b> Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a friendly, positive, and supportive demeanor.</li><li><b>Adaptability:</b> Excellent skills in prioritizing tasks and excelling in a fast-paced environment.</li><li><b>Technology:</b> Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace applications.</li></ul><p><b>Benefits:</b></p><ul><li>Competitive compensation</li><li>Flexible schedule and hours</li></ul><p><b>Job Type and Schedule:</b></p><ul><li>15 to 20 work hours per week (Part-time, with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time role)</li></ul><p><b>Ability to Commute or Relocate:</b></p><p>Irvine, CA 92618 (Required)</p><p><b>Work Location</b>: In person</p><ul><li>IVVH Emergency and Critical Care (Address: 14980 Sand Canyon Ave. Irvine CA 92618)</li></ul><p><b>How to Apply</b></p><p>Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter explaining why you are the right fit for the IVVH Primary Care and Emergency/ Critical Care Team through the Indeed platform.
