The Trading Technology Infrastructure team at Millennium is responsible for providing shared services to internal trading systems. We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our global development team in the buildout of our strategic real-time data platform. We are looking for a technical heavyweight to serve as a founding pillar of Tapestry&rsquo;s new NYC Engineering Hub. Position Title: Technology and Engineer Fellow (Fall) 
Hourly Rate: $21.00 (Undergraduate) 
 
All internship positions are onsite and require regular, in-person attendance at the designated work location. 
 
OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT: 
Data Center Operations handles the management and monitoring of the physical plant of the MTAs Data Centers, including HVAC and Power support. Ideal fellows will have a background in engineering and architecture with a goal of certification as an Electrician or Professional Engineer or Architect. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
<ul><li>
System testing Support.</li><li>
Drafting/review Standard Operating Procedure documentation for daily operation.</li><li>
Drafting/review of Method of Procedure documentation for system maintenance.</li><li>
Observation and oversight of State of Good Repair work for HVAC and Power.</li><li>
 Assist with Building Management System design and review.</li><li>
Assist with Maintenance of HVAC and Power systems.</li><li>
Explore options to optimize tools such as Solar Winds to better manage systems.</li><li>
Cleanout of major site communications rooms.</li></ul> 
 
PROJECTS: 
<ul><li>
Assisting facilities engineering and our operations team in integrating monitoring and alarms into daily system checks.</li><li>
Supporting the review of Uninterruptable Power Supply systems throughout the MTA to evaluate product lifecycle needs.</li><li>
Reviewing plans for upgrade of MTA PD HQ building.</li><li>
Assisting with planned upgrade and consolidation of power and procedure in agency wide data closets.</li></ul> 
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.</li><li>
The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills.</li><li>
The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.</li><li>
The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.</li><li>
Knowledge of power systems/equipment.</li><li>
Basic understanding of HVAC systems.</li><li>
Familiarity with Building Architecture.</li></ul> 
 
REQUIRED EDUCATION:<ul><li>
Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least 2.5 GPA.</li><li>
Major(s) Preferred: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field.</li></ul>

 Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
 </li>
 <li>
 Exposure to recommendation systems, forecasting, customer analytics, or experimentation (A/B testing) preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Ecommerce, retail, or marketplace data experience strongly preferred
 </li>
