 The Data Analyst &amp; Engineer intern will analyze complex data and become proficient in collecting, cleaning, and visualizing data to identify patterns, trends, and correlations. As part of this workstream, the intern will collaborate with teams across functional areas to automate processing of data within cloud computing platform.  Fascinated by the fast-moving world of communications and media, with a global, geopolitical focus? The Communications team is seeking an intern to support the team in achieving its goals of promoting Eurasia Group&rsquo;s political risk analysis in both traditional and digital media and communicating important updates internally across the firm. The intern will be responsible for monitoring media mentions and tracking trends in coverage, maintaining the press contact database, helping draft pitch emails and press releases, and creating detailed media lists by key sectors and geographies.

 This internship will provide opportunities to learn about the geopolitical risk field, develop competencies applicable to the work in communications and public relations, develop solid contexts in journalism, gain experience in traditional and digital communications, and explore the intersection of business, government, the public sector, and the media. Applicants should be undergraduate students or actively enrolled in a graduate academic institution.

   Monitoring media mentions and producing a weekly firmwide internal email, EG in the News
  </li>
  <li>
   Updating and consolidating the press contact database
  </li>
  <li>
   Creating detailed press lists organized by key sectors and geographies
  </li>
  <li>
   Attending the occasional in-person media interviews or tapings
  </li>
  <li>
   Drafting pitch emails and press releases ahead of thought leadership events or products
  </li>
  <li>
   Assist in preparing press kits or media one-pagers around EG events
  </li>
  <li>
   Support in proactive communications campaigns
  </li>
  <li>
   Drafting copy for and scheduling social media content
  </li>
  <li>
   Executing data collection and analysis on media mentions for the Q3 report
  </li>

   Tracking analyst speaking opportunities at events and conferences
  </li>

   Helping the Communications team launch whitepapers and promote client events, including press outreach, social media content, and planning press roundtable(s)
