Job Summary:
The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides operations support services and business solutions to the community of 10,000 House Members, Officers and staff. The CAO organization comprises more than 800 technical and administrative staff working in a variety of areas, including information technology, finance, budget management, human resources, payroll, childcare, food and vending, procurement, logistics and administrative counsel.
The position is with House Interior Design, Office of Logistics &amp; Support (L&amp;S), Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), U.S. House of Representatives (House). The purpose of the Office of L&amp;S is to provide important logistical services to the entire House community, including building, repairing, moving, setting up, and breaking down furniture; facilitating office moves; and managing all accountable equipment assets within the House. The purpose of House Interior Design is to serve as the main point of contact for Leadership, Committee and Member office design, specializing in design consultation services using Antique and Unique, Core and Modular furniture from the House inventory as well as special order furnishings to support Finish Schedule projects. This position serves as a Senior Project Designer.
Key responsibilities include planning, managing, and monitoring House Interior Design projects; tracking project progress; coordinating with other personnel both internal and external in support of project progress; creating accurate furniture plans, 3D renderings and visually effective presentations; providing excellent and consistent customer service; serve as an expert in furniture provided by the House, and as a mentor and trainer to colleagues.
The position does not have day-to-day supervisory/managerial responsibilities.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
