Minimum Qualifications:</b></p><p>
1. Associate&rsquo;s degree from an accredited Respiratory Care program.<br>

4. One (1) year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.<br>
5. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.<br>

Provides clinical expertise and assistance Respiratory Care department team members on a daily basis including managing day-to-day clinical issues that arise which may include: participating in patient rounds; Assisting therapists when clinical expertise and assistance is needed; monitor daily caseload assignments; reallocate work flow for pediatric transport, ECMO, or increasing acuity in clinical areas; reviewing patient census; facilitate break coverage; and assisting with reporting/analysis.</p><p>
2. Operates the ECMO device and manages ECMO-related care for neonatal, pediatric, and adult ECMO.</p><p>
3. Demonstrates expertise in caring for patients with multiple or complex conditions in which ECMO may be indicated.</p><p>

Ensures appropriate ECMO patient care, anticipating, identifying and correcting problems associated with any ECMO procedures or technology and collaborates with the care team to deliver superior patient care including the knowledge, clinical and communication skills to direct and deliver critical troubleshooting and emergency response for patients on ECMO support.</p><p>
5. Functions independently following standing orders and ECMO policies, procedures, and protocols.</p><p>
6. Actively participates in ECMO patient rounds to share information and determine appropriateness of patient care plans.</p><p>
7. Maintains communication with ECMO Leadership Team regarding concerns and variances as well as any ECMO patient complications.</p><p>
8. Provides a clear and concise end of shift report for oncoming ECMO Specialist regarding ECMO settings, patient status, and patient care plans.</p><p>
9. Supports ECMO team quality improvement initiatives and research through the collection of ECMO-related data, preparation, and presentation of research abstracts and/or other documentation</p><p>

GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT: As a member of the Room Service team, the individual will be tasked to assist and deliver in a pleasant, friendly and timely manner patient specific high-quality food and exemplary service to patients, guests, and staff. This position requires working with and assisting other members of the Room Service team and Hospital staff to ensure that all patients receive prescribed foods, and guests and staff receive requested food following Federal, State, Local and hospital sanitation and safety procedures. As outlined in the Food Service Department's HAACP program. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Act as a liaison to food service for the patient, family and staff. Tasks as liaison: explaining the meal selection process; assist menu selection of patients according to prescribed diet order. To assure patients fed within 45 minutes of ordering the meal. 2. To communicate on the telephone in an efficient, pleasant and respectful manner, even during periods of high call volume, in order to assist patients and guests with their meal service selections. At peak time, a call center operator answers the phone and immediately enters a complete order into the Computrition system. A call center operator's average call time will range between 1 1/2 - 2 minutes. 3. To review therapeutic diet orders and modify the patient&rsquo;s order to meet the diet order parameters while attempting to honor the patient&rsquo;s request and be aesthetically pleasing. 4. To speak with the patient, family member(s) or nurse to explain needed modifications regarding meal orders. To communicate changes and if possible find a satisfactory substitution. Communicate on the phone or in person to patients, staff, and guests according to department scripting policy and procedures. 6. To communicate patient diet order issues to the Call Center Operator Lead, Diet Tech or clinical dietitian when policy mandates. 7. Facilitates the meal service or communicate via Computrition the reason for refusal. 8. Acts upon patient, family, or staff meal service requests. These requests may include contacting and following through with the clinical dietitian regarding diet order issues or supplement changes, or room service team members to resolve meal service issues or handle special requests. When necessary escalating requests to management 9. Manage patient nourishment, supplement and tube-feeding delivery. 10. Proficient using the Computrition according department policy and procedures and maintains accurate and updated patient information via the electronic diet office system. 11. The Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) provides support for complete and efficient patient care within practices and/or locations of the Department of Dermatology. Working under the direction of the Practice Manager and/or Practice Coordinator, the LPN will interact with customers in person, by telephone and/or electronically. Since the role has significant impact on patient care, patient satisfaction, clinical operations and clinical revenue, the position requires outstanding customer service skills, attention to detail and having the appropriate technical skills to meet the job requirements in a timely and accurate manner.

The following duties and responsibilities are comprehensive. While the LPN will be expected to have a working knowledge of these duties and responsibilities, the overall efforts for each will vary based on daily practice operational needs, staffing, location and specific functions. <ul><li>Perform all nursing functions within a practice per scope of duty, including but not limited to: assisting with preparing, processing and disposition of patients; facilitating patient flow; assisting with procedures; and wound dressing application.
