 The Assistant/Associate will play a key role in managing the Stephen King frontlist and extensive backlist, ensuring seamless coordination across departments for ongoing publications, reprints, and promotional initiatives. <li>8&ndash;12+ years of experience in partnership content, media, agency or integrated marketing, with clear progression into leadership roles.</li>
<li>Proven track record of driving revenue through content, not just producing it.</li>
<li>Deep experience working on pre-sale/RFP strategy and winning competitive deals.</li>
<li>Strong editorial and creative instincts across written, video and social formats.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and executional levels.</li>
<li>Comfortable leading in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and making high-stakes decisions.</li>
<li>Exceptional cross-functional operator who can influence without direct authority.</li>
<li>Confident, polished and credible in client-facing environments, including senior stakeholders.</li>
<li>Highly structured thinker who can build systems that scale, not just one-off solutions.</li>
<li>Experience in travel, finance or performance-driven media is a plus&mdash;but not required.</li>

Compensation:

This range reflects total cash compensation, which may include base salary only or base salary plus target bonus, depending on the role. Where eligible, equity may also be offered separately and not included below. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.

 Bon App&eacute;tit and Epicurious are seeking an Associate Editor to join the cooking team, reporting to the Director of Cooking. In this role, the Associate Editor will pitch, write, edit, and update articles, recipes, recipe galleries, newsletters, SEO-driven content, and more as assigned. They will be responsible for shepherding this content through its full lifecycle and across all relevant platforms. They will also be involved with project management on longer-lead packages and stories.
 
 
 
 Primary Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Generating ideas for stories that fit our rubrics and align with editorial calendars, themes, and goals
 </li>
 <li>
 Writing and reporting content for cooking section and other sections as needed
 </li>
 <li>
 Assigning and editing articles, galleries, and other types of content for our digital platforms and the print magazine
 </li>
 <li>
 Leveraging our vast archive and various tools such as KW Finder, Google Trends, etc., for ideating, writing, and editing
 </li>
 <li>
 Tracking and reviewing cookbooks with creator relationships and traffic/engagement-driving content in mind
 </li>
 <li>
 Conceptualizing how recipes and stories might live across all editorial facets of the brand (digital, print, social, podcast, video, etc.), and contributing across platforms as needed
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with project management on longer-lead columns, packages, and stories
 </li>
 <li>
 Strategically updating content for search optimization
 </li>
 <li>
 Optimizing new and evergreen for different platforms (e.g. social, newsletter, print, etc.).
 </li>

 Content production tasks as assigned, including using our CMS to build and package stories, editorial calendar data entry, and more.

 Participating in video, social video, and special events and projects as assigned

 Desired Skills and Qualifications:

 Strong editorial judgment, writing, and reporting skills

 </li>

 Strong culinary knowledge and technique; professional cooking/baking experience not required but a plus

 3&ndash;5 years experience in journalism, writing, or related fields, preferably on an editorial team within food media

 The expected base salary range for this position is from $70,000- $82,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
