It's designed for an experienced editor with strong judgment who can move seamlessly between editorial strategy and hands-on execution, translating ideas into high-quality output.</div><div><br>

<div>The role requires range: the ability to think strategically about editorial products, workflows and newsroom innovation while remaining deeply grounded in the demands of real-time news.</div><div><br>

<div><b>Responsibilities</b></div>
<ul><li>Lead editorial strategy and execution for real-time news, including corporate earnings, private companies, economic data and other market-moving developments.</li>
<li>Play a central role in newsroom AI initiatives, helping guide development, advocacy, rollout and adoption of new tools.</li>
<li>Partner closely with product and engineering teams to develop and refine newsroom tools and editorial offerings.</li>
<li>Support newsroom leaders during major coverage moments, including complex data releases and fast-moving global news events.</li>
<li>Act as a senior editorial troubleshooter, stepping into coverage or operational challenges as needed.</li>
<li>Identify structural or workflow gaps and help implement practical, scalable solutions.</li>
<li>Serve as a key liaison between editorial leadership and product teams to ensure tools align with newsroom needs and standards.</li>
<li>Champion a team-oriented culture where editors collaborate across coverage areas.</li>
<li>Contribute directly to coverage when needed, including editing, writing and launching new editorial products such as newsletters.</li>
<li>Advise on staffing, structure and leadership development across teams.</li></ul><br>

</div><div><b>You&rsquo;ll need to have:</b></div>
<ul><li>Exceptional editorial judgment, with a proven track record as a senior editor or newsroom leader.</li>
<li>A strong understanding of AI and how to apply it responsibly in a newsroom setting while upholding Bloomberg&rsquo;s standards.</li>
<li>Deep experience in financial, corporate and economic reporting.</li>
<li>A clear understanding of how breaking news, economics, markets and alternative data serve Bloomberg Terminal clients.</li>
<li>Experience guiding teams through periods of rapid change, high-pressure coverage or market disruption.</li>
<li>The ability to balance speed, accuracy and judgment under pressure.</li>
<li>Demonstrated strategic leadership experience, including setting priorities and driving execution.</li>
<li>Deft interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across senior leaders and frontline editors.</li>
