BRIEF DESCRIPTION</p><p></p><p>
The Video Editor is a critical role on a small, senior team at Magnificent Noise. This is a part-time position (15&ndash;20 hours per week) with flexible work hours and a hybrid structure&mdash;primarily remote, with occasional on-site work as projects require.</p><p>
The Video Editor will be the primary editor shaping video expressions of our audio-led projects, ensuring that all visual work meets our editorial ambitions and aesthetic standards.</p><p>
The role requires not only strong technical editing skills, but a creative and inclusive approach to storytelling. You&rsquo;ll primarily focus on editing engaging, social-first videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels.</p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Edit short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social platforms</li><li>Cut and assemble raw footage into engaging, fast-paced, on-brand videos</li><li>Add music, captions, text overlays, and transitions aligned with current trends</li><li>Repurpose existing footage into short, shareable clips</li><li>Collaborate with the marketing team on content ideas and creative direction</li><li>Maintain consistency in visual style, tone, and brand identity</li><li>Stay up to date on social trends, editing styles, and platform best practices</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Student or recent grad in Film, Media, Video Production, or related field</li><li>Strong interest in social media content and digital storytelling</li><li>Proficiency in editing tools such as CapCut, iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar</li><li>Fast and efficient editor with the ability to turn around content quickly</li><li>Strong communicator who takes feedback well and can iterate quickly</li><li>Ability to execute on creative direction and bring ideas to life through editing</li><li>Strong sense of pacing, timing, and what performs well on TikTok and Instagram</li><li>Familiarity with current social trends, formats, and editing styles</li><li>Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines</li></ul><p><b>Bonus</b></p><ul><li>Experience editing for social, lifestyle, beauty, or wellness brands</li><li>Basic color grading and sound editing skills</li><li>Comfortable filming and capturing content (iPhone or camera) is a plus</li></ul><p><b>What You&rsquo;ll Gain</b></p><ul><li>Hands-on experience creating social-first content for a growing brand</li><li>A portfolio of real-world TikTok and Reels content</li><li>Insight into how wellness and beauty brands build visual identity and engagement</li><li>Experience collaborating with a creative and marketing team in a fast-paced environment</li></ul><p><b>How to apply: </b></p><p>Submit resume and portfolio with 2-3 applicable pieces of content.</p><p>Pay: $500.00 per year</p><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>Employee discount</li></ul><p>Work Location: In person</p>
