Position Overview</b></h2><p>
Society for Science is seeking an experienced <b>Grant Writer</b> to help secure institutional funding for our STEM Outreach Programs. The Grant Writer will play a key role in identifying new partners and strengthening existing relationships with private and corporate foundations.</p><p>
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of researching and writing persuasive, data-driven grant proposals and reports. Responsible for the full grant lifecycle, from proactively researching and analyzing new opportunities to crafting proposals and managing reporting requirements. The Grant Writer will also work closely with program leaders to develop relationships with funders and ensure all partnership commitments are met.</p><p>

The General Counsel's Office at HRW is responsible for legal oversight of the organization's policies, compliance, risk management, and governance, as well as a wide range of corporate matters including media law, intellectual property, U.S. and foreign operations, tax, insurance and contract review, worldwide litigation and international and domestic employment matters including labor relations. Education: </b>A J.D. is required, or equivalent LL.M degree from a U.S. law school if law degree was acquired outside of the U.S. Current admission in good standing is required in at least one U.S. State Bar.</p>

Experience: </b>A minimum of 10 years of work experience as a lawyer in relevant areas is required, with a strong preference for in-house experience. Experience with an international law firm and/or as corporate counsel for a multi-national organization is a plus. Experience with intellectual property matters is a plus.</p>

<li>Candidate must demonstrate rough-in experience and the ability to set a wide range of fixture and equipment.</li>
<li>Experience of residential nature will not be considered relevant.</li>
<li>Past experience in cast iron (underground and no hub), PVC, CPVC, and copper must be demonstrated during the application process to be considered.</li>
