THE ROLE
 
Define and lead the Customer and Sales Strategy for the Wella Portfolio (Clairol, OPI, Sebastian, Nioxin, & Wella) in the Food, Drug, Mass, and Secondary channels to achieve the business ambition in both short and long term.
 
Deliver the annual operating plan (GS, NR, Profit) for the retail business by working in close collaboration with Trade Marketing, Brand Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and other support functions to ensure all targets are met.
 
Engage our customers to drive short and long term growth in our categories and foster collaborative relationships for partnership. Owns the relationship with distribution partners
 
Contribute actively to North America Sales & Education Leadership Team to define the role of the FDM & Secondary channels within North America and aid in delivering total market performance.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
The Head of Sales, Retail is responsible for optimizing the Wella business performance by coaching, guiding and motivating direct and dotted-line reports to achieve team and company goals. The successful candidate optimizes business performance in order to achieve company goals (including – sales, profit, share, 4P metrics and financial control).
 
Guides others in developing vision & strategy for the business as well as proper implementation plans to ensure excellent execution
 Coaches team members & cross functional partners using knowledge of market, channel, brand and category strategies across a broad customer base
 Ensures interaction between team, customer and all areas of Wella business to successfully implement brand/category strategies by key account
 Sets business objectives & operational targets to ensure efficient uses of all resources including Trade Funds, operational overheads and personnel to achieve common business plans
 Conducts proactive business reviews identifying issues/opportunities/actions
 Approves and critiques sales team plans for short, medium and long term activities ensuring alignment to brand support plans & key intiatives
 Coaches others in the uses of sales information tools to support negotiation skills, creating medium and long term win/win arrangements with Customers and team members both internally and externally.

 Is able to network effectively with other functions and develops in others the ability to manage relationships

QUALIFICATIONS
 
Ideally a BA and/or MA in Business, Marketing or similar
 10-15 years of relevant Sales experience within beauty or similar industry
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills effective across a large organization
 Analytical ability to understand the business trends and provide projections based on that insight
 Ability to personally organize and plan effectively, as well as for the team being managed
 Possesses the ability to think creatively to address new issues and identify business building ideas
 Ability to travel required
 Strong knowledge of sales function processes and cross-functional exposure to other areas of business operations
 
We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $190,000-215,000 salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. Elevate the visual representation of the Guerlain brand in all point of sales across the U.S.
Visual Merchandising
Elevating and Enhancing the Guerlain Image<ul><li>
Elevate the Guerlain experience with enhanced merchandising elements and tools; including, event animation elements, counter animation elements, launch elements</li><li>
Analyze current event elements and tools, and propose new solutions</li><li>
Assist with marketing, and sales efforts at each retail location by designing, developing and customizing merchandising strategies and creating visual opportunities</li><li>
Create a visual merchandising database with information on each department store doors</li><li>
Partner with Paris HQ Visual Merchandising team to ensure global soft merchandising development meet the US market needs requirements</li></ul>
Visual Merchandising Training<ul><li>
Partner with the Guerlain Sales Field and provide training on design concepts, visual display standards, and the proper maintenance of the overall visual merchandising efforts</li><li>
Provide on-the-job training to members of the store team in key flagship doors to actively support the visual merchandising efforts</li></ul>
Retailer Relationships<ul><li>

Store Design
Partner with Paris HQ store design team to develop Guerlain flagship counters and freestanding stores and coordinate all project management aspects for construction and installation.

Partner with VP, Sales to obtain retailer approval for new and remodeled counters</li><li>
Establish timetables and drive all parties to complete phases as scheduled</li><li>

Provide on-site construction supervision</li><li>

About the Role

The Manager, North America Visual Merchandising is a detail-driven, cross-functional role at the intersection of brand storytelling and retail execution. You will support visual merchandising programs across our most critical North American retail partners &ndash; including ULTA, Macy&rsquo;s, and department store equivalents &ndash; spanning 2,000+ doors. Primary Responsibilities

Fixture Programs &amp; Gondola Updates

<li>Support planning and execution of gondola updates in partnership with Channel and Global Marketing, contributing to a roadmap that drives efficiency across 2,000+ doors</li>
<li>Coordinate with design agencies on gondola templates, planograms, and supporting graphics, ensuring brand alignment, visual impact, and retailer-specific format requirements are met</li>
<li>Route designs through the internal approval process (Global Marketing, US Channel Marketing, Sales); track prototype reviews, manage vendor revisions, and support final artwork sign-off prior to production</li>
<li>Monitor costs against budget and flag variances; review store-level execution instructions for accuracy prior to rollout</li>
<li>Support gondola overhaul projects as assigned, coordinating across Creative, Global Marketing, and US Channel Marketing teams; assist with tracking vendor options, timeline milestones, and phased installation logistics</li>
