ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer, AI to lead the development and strategic direction of Cloaked's AI Agents - autonomous agents that act on a user's behalf to monitor, manage, and enforce their privacy across their entire digital footprint. You'll own the technical roadmap end-to-end: agent architecture and orchestration, tool-use and integrations across third-party services, reliability and guardrails for non-deterministic systems, adversarial robustness against hostile web content, and the cloud infrastructure underneath. Work Location &amp; Leadership Presence

NYGC recognizes the value of workplace flexibility while fostering a highly collaborative, team-oriented scientific environment. As a member of the Executive Management Team, the Vice President, Genome Technologies is expected to maintain a regular on-site presence to provide visible leadership, strengthen collaboration, and support organizational culture. 


The successful candidate is expected to work on-site at least four (4) days per week, with limited remote work flexibility subject to approval by the Scientific Director &amp; CEO. Regular interaction with faculty, staff, institutional partners, and executive leadership is essential to the success of this role. Occasional evening and weekend work, as well as domestic and international travel, may be required. 


Salary &amp; Benefits

The pay range for this position is $270,000-350,000 per year; the base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

About the New York Genome Center

The New York Genome Center (NYGC) is an independent, nonprofit, academic research organization dedicated to advancing genomic research. NYGC scientists and staff are furthering new approaches to diagnosing and treating neurological diseases and cancer through their unique capabilities in whole genome sequencing, RNA sequencing, state-of-the art analytics, and the development of genomic tools. NYGC concentrates specifically on disease-based research in the following areas: neuropsychiatric disease (autism, schizophrenia, bipolar); neurodegenerative disease (ALS, Alzheimer&rsquo;s, Parkinson&rsquo;s, Huntington&rsquo;s), and cancer.
