Job Description Summary:
The Investment Analyst (IA) position will be based in Arlington, VA or Boston, MA as an integral member of the CA Institute team. CA Institute is a specialized team within Cambridge Associates that serves as the firm&rsquo;s central hub for institutional research. Our research examines best practices across endowments and foundations as it pertains to portfolio management, the endowment&rsquo;s role in financial budgeting/planning, and investment oversight and governance practices.
 
The IA will split their time between three core functions: data analysis, producing research content, and client engagements. Data analysis entails the collection of client data and industry trends and validating that information is suitable for use in producing research. The research role involves using client and industry data to create content that appears in published reports and other research materials. Client engagement includes responding to time-sensitive inquiries on our data and research and supporting longer-term projects.

To be successful in this role you will have&hellip;<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or equivalent.</li><li>
Experience in the asset management industry, including experience with equities and derivatives. Equity hedge fund experience is strongly preferred.</li><li>
Experience using investment technology systems (ex. Bloomberg, Aladdin, accounting systems, attribution systems, etc.), preferably in the capacity of a subject matter expert or system administrator.</li><li>
Experience leading high-performing teams.</li><li>
Ability to influence and collaborate with business partners at all levels to drive results.</li><li>
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently with limited direction, maintain strong attention to detail, and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively at the same time.</li></ul>

Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $140,000 - $160,000 per year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. Provide insights and risks associated with longer-term congestion patterns, transmission upgrades, and outages through quarterly seasonal outlooks.</li><li>
Ownership of initiatives related to efficiencies and products outside of routine daily operational tasks</li><li>
Run regional support workbooks daily and continuously improve the level of granularity provided to the team and customer.</li><li>
Manipulate large datasets and determine correlations and relationships between potential market drivers, prices, and events.</li><li>
Improve current processes by automating critical tasks using macros (visual basic/Python)</li><li>
