  The Video and Audio Editor, Wellness plays a key role in shaping CNN&rsquo;s emerging Wellness vertical through compelling, short-form video and audio storytelling. Working closely with producers and creative partners, this editor will help define the look, feel, and editorial voice of wellness content across CNN&rsquo;s proprietary platforms and social channels.

  Your Role Accountabilities&hellip;
  <br/>
  <br/>
  Edit engaging short-form video content for CNN&rsquo;s proprietary platforms and social media channels, with a strong emphasis on vertical formats
  <br/>
  Craft compelling hooks and clear, emotionally resonant storytelling within tight timelines
  <br/>
  Design and integrate captions, motion graphics, sound effects, and music to enhance narrative and accessibility

  Follow established brand standards while actively contributing ideas to help define and evolve the visual identity of CNN Wellness

  Repurpose longer-form video, audio, and editorial content into concise, high-impact short-form iterations

  Qualifications &amp; Experience&hellip;

  5+ years of demonstrated professional experience in video editing, including significant experience creating content for social and digital platforms
  <br/>
  Experience editing podcasts or audio-only content
  <br/>
  Proficiency in industry-standard editing tools, including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar software
  <br/>
  Strong understanding of short-form storytelling, pacing, and audience engagement
  <br/>
  Working knowledge of color correction and audio mixing best practices
  <br/>
  Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and receive feedback constructively
  <br/>
  Collaborative mindset with a genuine enthusiasm for working as part of a creative team

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery&rsquo;s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $70,056.00 - $130,104.00 salary per year. This editor will be assigned to the Books desk, and will focus on assigning a variety of idea-driven books coverage, including critical essays, reported articles on cultural and publishing trends, and profiles.</div><div></div><div>
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in magazine journalism, obsessed with clarity and accuracy, very organized, and deeply curious about a wide range of ideas across politics and culture. With one eye on the book release schedule and another on a very busy news cycle, you&rsquo;ll be refining pitches and assigning stories that contribute to the cultural conversation. You might find yourself juggling an essay on the evolution of the <div>internet novel</div>; a <div>philosopher&rsquo;s new take</div> on how to live meaningfully; a historian&rsquo;s assessment of <div>what Victor Hugo would have thought of Donald Trump</div>; and a reported story on <div>the romance genre</div>. You should understand how to bring a magazine sensibility to a competitive digital environment, with all the intelligence and speed that requires.</div><div></div><div>
Working with both staff and freelance writers, and brainstorming constantly with the Books team and colleagues across the newsroom, you will work to clarify and elevate ideas, ensuring that every article makes the strongest, most interesting, and most air-tight argument possible. You will be able to move very quickly when the moment calls for it, without sacrificing rigor, and understanding that the best work comes through collaboration. You should also be very comfortable with a wide array of viewpoints and perspectives, keeping an eye out for ideological blind spots&mdash;including your own.
