Job Description:</p><p>
Parker is seeking an experienced Technical Support Specialist for our growing electronic refrigeration business. This is a U.S.-based remote role, preferably centrally located in the Southwest or Northeast near a major airport.</p><p>
Tasks and Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Program controllers and start up control to ensure proper operation.</li><li>Troubleshoot control issues at start up and after installation.</li><li>Study schematics, manuals, work instructions and other specifications to understand installation, maintenance and repair procedures at both OEM's and end-users.</li><li>Be familiar with various electronic temperature controllers.</li><li>Working knowledge of refrigeration temperature /pressure-based systems and all standard refrigeration components.</li><li>Considerable hands-on experience (minimum 5 years).</li><li>Be able to operate electronic supermarket control systems to demonstrate equipment and to analyze malfunctions.</li><li>Contact customers directly via phone or remote desktop connections to research and diagnose issues.</li><li>Travel to customer sites as needed to carry out installation/commissioning, repairs, maintenance, and training.</li><li>Complete service reports and communicate results of service activity to the customers.</li><li>Evaluate the performance of refrigeration, HVAC, building automation systems.</li><li>Instruct and train customers on proper system usage of building automation systems and controls.</li><li>Follow up on all open issues as directed and work to provide solutions to the customers.</li></ul><p><b>

Liaison with Service Department to authorize warranty repairs, solicit customer purchase orders for non-warranty repairs and inform customers of installation issues which need to be rectified for proper operation of the product.</li><li>
Liaison with Manufacturing and Engineering Departments on matters regarding product performance, product design and product quality. Participate regularly in the Customer Concerns and Satisfaction team. Provides input in new product design and development.</li><li>
Supports Accounting Department in confirming disposition of credit for returned product.</li><li>
Supports Customer Service Department in technical matters beyond the scope of the Customer Service Representative function.</li><li>
Assists in the training of new Territory Managers, new Customer Service Representatives, and new Field Service personnel.</li></ul><p><b>
Qualifications</b>
</p><ul><li><p>Minimum five (5) years of experience in commercial / retail refrigeration systems service/ installation.</p></li><li>
