THE OPPORTUNITY
The Marketing &amp; Communications Manager is a key member of CFUF&rsquo;s Development Department and leads the organization&rsquo;s marketing, communications, digital engagement, and online fundraising efforts. This role is responsible for elevating CFUF&rsquo;s brand visibility and storytelling across digital platforms, media outlets, fundraising campaigns, and community engagement initiatives at both the local and national level.
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Marketing &amp; Communications Manager develops compelling content and integrated communications strategies that increase awareness of CFUF&rsquo;s mission, programs, services, and impact. This role blends strategic communications, digital marketing, public relations, graphic design oversight, and donor engagement in support of organizational growth and community impact.

The Assistant Director for Internal Communications and Staff Engagement is a critical partner and project manager within DAR. Jointly reporting to Development Communications and Talent Management, the Communications Associate will support a program designed to engage and inform the DAR workforce, strengthen divisional culture, and amplify leadership messaging across the organization.

Serving as a liaison and consultant to business units and leaders, you will ensure media and PR objectives align with institutional priorities, cultivate relationships with journalists and media outlets, and support the Director in creating and operationalizing communications guidelines, media policies, and response procedures across the enterprise. This position will also be responsible for supervising and guiding communications staff, including assigning work, providing direction, and supporting professional development to ensure team effectiveness and alignment with departmental goals.

Additional Requirement: 
Participation in an on-call rotation to support emergent institutional messaging needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in communications, journalism, writing or related field required. Masters preferred.

Work Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in journalism, media/public relations, or communications; print and web writing and editing and project management. Demonstrated experience in supervising and implementing effective communications plans and strategies, and in editing/writing high-quality communications pieces for external variety of audiences.

Salary Range: Minimum 38.44/hour - Maximum 67.77/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
