Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team at the soon to be open Holiday Inn Express/Staybridge Suites Houston downtown. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in customer service and food handling, with experience in cocktails and mixology. You will be responsible for crafting beverages, providing exceptional service, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the hotel opening team!Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.</li><li>Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.</li><li>Handle cash transactions efficiently using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.</li><li>Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking supplies as needed.</li><li>Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service during busy periods.</li><li>Uphold high standards of hospitality while managing time effectively during peak hours.</li><li>Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of brewing techniques and cocktail preparation.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Previous bartending experience in a restaurant or nightclub setting is preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with Silverware POS systems is a plus.</li><li>Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.</li><li>Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.</li><li>Knowledge of food safety practices and responsible alcohol service guidelines.</li><li>Experience in catering or banquet service is beneficial but not required.</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
