The ABC News Talent Development team oversees the hiring and growth of both on-air and off-air talent! This includes the implementation of programs, fellowships, and initiatives aimed at enhancing and broadening our talent pools.
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 through early January 2027.
What You Will Do<ul><li>
Assist with supporting various development programs, such as fellowships, mentorship initiatives, and virtual events/conference planning. Your role may include coordinating logistics, assisting with scheduling, and ensuring the smooth execution of these programs.</li><li>
Assist in leading social media accounts, crafting content, and encouraging engagement improves the organization's online presence.</li><li>
Provide research around talent &amp; coordinate profiles and bios.</li><li>
Data entry for new system for talent tracking/feedback.</li><li>
Help with searches for freelance producers/talent for long form unit and news division</li><li>
Access to talent staff meetings to provide you with insights into the decision-making processes regarding talent engagement, reel screening, and other key aspects.</li></ul>
Required Qualifications &amp; Skills
<ul><li>Experience with multi-tasking in a constantly evolving work environment, effectively balancing and prioritizing multiple projects</li><li>
Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)</li><li>
Experience working in collaborative environments, and researching and/or using a range of tools to acquire information and present findings</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
Knowledge of ABC News shows and talent</li><li>
Experience related to social media including Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and YouTube</li><li>
Familiarity with and/or interest in news stories and talent development</li><li>
Experience with using Airtable</li></ul>
Education
<ul><li>Major or previous coursework in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, Film/Television or a related field</li><li>
Junior or Senior year preferred</li></ul>
Eligibility Requirements &amp; Internship Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:<ul><li>
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.</li><li>
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.</li><li>
Be at least 18 years of age</li><li>
Possess unrestricted work authorization</li></ul>
Additional Information<ul><li>
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship</li><li>
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 through early January 2027</li><li>
Fully available to work 40 hours per week (hours and days to be determined by your supervisor and could include nights and/or weekends)</li><li>
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, New York area</li>
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.50 per hour.
