The Health Information, Release and Records Management unit oversees health information policy and practice, release of medical records, public records and litigation support, records management, and departmental policy facilitation and administration. There are seven-unit members, working in the various lines of business across the unit, and reporting to the Health Information Manager. Release of medical records includes a hybrid environment of legacy paper medical charts, and electronic health records. 
 
This position manages and processes responses to all requests for routine release of health information (ROI) that come through the Health Information, Release and Records Management Team, ensuring adherence to all state and federal regulations and department policy related to the use and release of client health information. This position provides administrative support to the Health Information, Release and Records Management Team which includes: Release of Information, Health Information Management, Policies, and Public Disclosure. 
Temporary opportunity. Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) positions are &quot;at-will&quot; positions but are eligible for benefits. This TLT is currently anticipated to last 6 months. However, funding sources for this work remain uncertain and dependent upon decisions actively being made at both the federal and local levels. As a result, the end date of this position may be adjusted based on those decisions. The County and the Department continue to work to secure long term funding sources.

Work Schedule

Our structural team consists of structural engineers working in a vast array of building design fields, such as high-rise towers, office buildings, hospitals and medical centers, parking garages, and higher education buildings, using a variety of building materials including steel, concrete, and mass timber. Our civil team works on a variety of projects, from site development to utility infrastructure to regional stormwater facilities in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Our civil/structural team designs and evaluates bridge and heavy civil infrastructure, including highway and pedestrian bridges, marine structures, retaining walls, and culverts.
You will participate in a fun, dynamic, and diverse educational program designed to introduce you to the civil and structural engineering professions. Through lessons and guided activities, participants will learn about the engineering world, including how to read and interpret drawings, understand relevant codes and standards, and explore the reasoning behind common design and construction practices. The program emphasizes learning how and why engineers approach problems in an office setting.
We anticipate students to be in the office for three half days a week for four-five weeks in July and August.

The Division of Hematology and Oncology has an outstanding opportunity for a Clinical Trials Budget Specialist to join their team in a limited-term appointment.
About this Opportunity:
Reporting to the Clinical Research Budget Manager, this position works closely with research faculty and staff and is responsible for clinical research budgeting and revenue cycle strategy, development and oversight. Specifically, this position oversees and negotiates optimal pricing and payment terms for investigator initiated and industry sponsored clinical trials, ensuring regulatory compliance and fiscal accountability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Trial Budget Development, Revenue Cycle, and Financial Risk Management :
<ul><li>Perform comprehensive and independent review of all documents related to the research study funding, including study budget, protocol, consent form, contract, and other supporting documentation.
</li><li>In collaboration with Principal Investigators, identify and differentiate between research-specific procedures and standard of care.
</li><li>Using established systems and committees, seek appropriate prices quotes from University of Washington, Fred Hutch Cancer Center, and other partner institution service departments. Independently negotiate successful clinical trial budgets and payment terms with study sponsors.
</li><li>Coordinate with disease program research staff to ensure each study&rsquo;s consent form delineates research care and standard of care.
</li><li>Coordinate with UW and FHCC offices involved in the review and negotiation of clinical trial budgets and contracts, including UW Clinical Research Budget and Billing office, the UW Office of Sponsored Programs, and the FHCC Research Implementation Office.
</li></ul>Post Award Revenue Recovery :
<ul><li>Perform comprehensive and independent review of patient activity, and in comparison to the Clinical Trial Agreement, perform complex financial reconciliations to ensure full revenue recovery.
</li><li>Identify invoiceable items in contracts and ensure regular invoicing and accounts receivable aging follow up.
</li><li>Use CTMS system, ONCORE, for financial reconciliation of studies that are operational in that system. Independently troubleshoot payment issues with sponsors in a timely manner.
</li><li>Identify and assist faculty to mitigate budget deficits, including communication with sponsor for amendments.
</li></ul>Required Qualifications:

</li><li>Experience using Epic for Research charge routing is highly desirable
