The Courier II is responsible for the pick-up, transportation and delivery of lab specimens, medical records, medications, and patient related documentation among various departments within Fred Hutch clinics and campus, off-site clinics and via shuttle service or by driving a Fred Hutch vehicle.</div><div></div><div> 
This is a full-time, hourly position. The hours are 10:30am-7:00pm. Location South Lake Union campus and driving between Issaquah/Overlake sites.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Complete all duties of a Courier I and:
</li><li>Train couriers as needed.</li><li>
Maintains technical knowledge of all courier systems and assist with trouble shooting.</li><li>
Maintains knowledge of at least two campus routes and all medication courier routes.</li></ul>
Qualifications:

Required:</div><ul><li>
High School Degree, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>
Pharmacy Assistant license (must be able to attain a Pharmacy Assistant License within 45 days of hire).
</li><li>Valid Driver&rsquo;s License.
</li><li>Basic computer skills.</li><li>
Ability to use effective customer service skills.</li><li>
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.</li><li>
Ability to communicate in person as well as in writing professionally and effectively.</li><li>
Excellent multi-tasking and interpersonal skills.</li><li>
Knowledge of computerized or automated system operations and record keeping practices.</li><li>
Basic math skills and knowledge of units of measure.</li><li>
Ability to lift to 50 pounds using proper techniques.</li><li>
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>
Ability to consistently walk during the majority of an eight-hour shift and/or an average of 10-12 miles per day.</li></ul><div>
Preferred:
</div><ul><li>Knowledge and practice of safe blood borne pathogen handling techniques.</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.</li></ul><div>
The hourly pay range for this position is from $22.22 to $31.63 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
