Insurance &amp; Billing Support: Determines and updates patient's insurance information, calls insurance companies to verify coverage, processes claims through the patient's insurance. Investigates and resolves prescription issues. Collaborates with the pharmacist and prescribers to formulate a solution, such as an alternative medicine or co-pay discount program.</li><li>
Medication Preparation: Measures and counts medications and prepares and affixes medication labels for dispensing under pharmacist supervision. Compounds simple or complex non-sterile medications in accordance with established policies, procedures and professional standards. Medication shipping:</li><li>
Inventory Management: Maintains pharmacy inventory by monitoring medication and supplies stock levels, anticipating needed medications and supplies, and removing outdated/expired drugs. Places and expedites orders, receives orders, rotates medications, restocks supplies. Ensures the proper storage of all medications in accordance with policies and procedures.</li><li>
Compliance: Complies with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations to ensure a safe, accurate, and compliant dispensing environment. As a Patient Care Technician in our Critical Care department, you will be a key member of the healthcare team at BMC. Using our patient-centered care model and uplifted by a supportive nursing organization, you will participate in the delivery of care to our patients and their families.
